Deadlifts are good to go. No pain in the foot at all. This makes me very happy. Actually drank some whiskey for the first time in 1 year, 3 months the other night. It was nice to let loose like that. This whole week has been a mental repair mostly. Hit a big wall last week.

Had my buddy do his maxes tonight for squat/deadlift. Very happy with his attempts. He got 385 on deadlift, just missed 400 at the top. Doing box squats for now, and he hit a solid 235. Going to do more high rep stuff with squats, as his ankle is really fucked up since he was born. Not going to put anything really heavy on it until a doctor OK’s it. I see a bright future with the deadlift though.

Nadi - Pup is safe and sound. About time to get him fixed, as he’s starting to make me bleed, alot while playing. With everyone else he’s all happy and licking them.

Right side IT band was a little tight… The big plus is I was able to really drive hard with my legs with no foot pain. Bring on May 12th and huge fucking PR’s!!! I’m 11 weeks out Monday, and beginning my meet prep. Fucking ecstatic!

Steve maxed out at 235 on bench, and 185 with Military Press. Next week he starts 5/3/1, with modified squat cycle with his ankles.

Fuck yes! Knee wraps are my new favorite thing. Kept my knee joint tight, and I had no issues at all. Sat back really well, and no back issues. Best squatting in over 8 weeks. Fucking awesome first day of meet prep. 11 weeks out!!! Going to make love to my baseball later tonight. Hips are sore as fuck.

Awesome Kouba, it’s about time you started using knee wraps. They definitely help a ton.

Yeah, they are nice. But you can’t use them in the AAPF/APF.

You can only use a belt with squats in the AAPF/APF. No knee wraps.

So, I deleted the vid of 295 at the gym… Just have to trust me when I say, they flew up. I have never felt that strong off my chest. This is good news.

On another note, some fucking jackass newbie started off stealing my bench while I was dry heaving into the garbage. Said a few choice words. After I was done, asked him what he wanted on the bar, he started mumbling, so told him to fuck off and watched away. Then he stole my God damn chalk for a pussy ass 135 on bench. I will just let you use your imagination on how the day went with him. He about got Kirk Karwoski’d… He complained to the management. They told him that I was a couple of months away from a meet, and probably best just to stay away. I laughed.

Dear God. Been a while since I felt like killing myself after lifting… 425 felt really heavy. Two things though. Heaviest thing in my hands in 12 weeks. I was straight legging the fuck out all reps. Will post vid tomorrow. Too tired to edit it, and I have to get to bed for work.

Steve did really well. Worked up to 295x7 on deadlifts. Then BBB with 135. Hamstring curls and abs. I doubt he’ll walk right tomorrow.

If I ever venture using gear one day, I will scare the shit out of myself probably… Creatine is cool. Going to start it up again 8 weeks out. You know what got me strong? Growing up poor. Sounds stupid, but all we could afford was hamburger, roast, and potatoes. Going back to that too. I’ve been eating too much fast food shit lately. Also, wrestling cattle in the spring during branding. That will put some hair on your balls.

Yes, bears are amazing creatures. I’m known as the Kouba Bear species at work (not the butt diddling kind…). My network tech thought I was going to maul him today as he was warming up his buffalo chicken thing. I think he was actually a little frightened. lol

Man, I wish I lived somewhere sensible. Meat is pricey as hell down here.

Growing up, weekends in the spring and most days in the summer my dad had me working digging fucking endless vegetable gardens so I kinda know what you mean lol. Too bad I never had to do anything as badass as wrestling cattle though.
