BCAA on a 'Deload' Week

Hey all,

So I’m trying to figure my diet and supplement timeline for next week when I take the week off to deload.

I did some searching and saw that having BCAA’s in the morning and at night are a good idea. So I’m going to do that.

Does anyone have anything else to add? I’m not going to spend a sh*tload on supplements so I just bought a tub of BCAA powder today.

I weigh about 185 and am planning to only do some cardio on my week off.

Any idea on how much BCAA I should be having during this time? THanks!!

from what people have told me you should take 5g of BCAA’s 3 times per day (15g total) between meals on non workout days. i’m not sure if cardio counts… on workout days i’m told to take anywhere between 20g-40g total BCAA spread throughout my workout. right now i have been doing 30g.

I second this, I would take 5-10g of your daily BCAA consumption and use it previous to your cardio, then use the rest in the morning (5g) right when you wake up and at night before bed (5g) and disperse the rest between meals.
