It more interesting and no more pointless IMO than another ‘discussion’ on fish oil or PWO nutrition or how many sets/reps is best for growth, blah blah blah. At the end of the day ‘care’ and ‘interesting’ are very different things. I might find a persons routing interesting, but i don’t really care what they do.
And to the person that thinks he works too hard for BBing to be a pageant - I’ll bet you’ve never seen what women/girls put themselves though to prepare for some of these shows. OK, it’s not the same, but as stupid as this sounds, spending 3+ hours getting ‘made up’ actually requires some practice and planning, never mind patience and stamina.

There’s no reason to apologize. People who don’t like bodydbuilding, especially pro bodybuilding, will usually find some derisive way to label it to show their disdain. People who do will usually try to defend the view that it’s a sport. It involves highly physical aspects and is judged in ways that is not that much more subjective than say gymnastics or figure skating. I’m not convinced that IFBB contests are judged objectively which if true would put those in a similar category with wrestling (WWF). In the end, who cares. People who like it still will and people who don’t still won’t.
This has been debated a million times before. But it is not a sport. That doesn’t mean that many bodybuilders aren’t very athletic and in amazing physical shape. But they are not being judged on any of those qualities up there on stage in any objective way. Who ‘wins’ is determined by a sugjective determination of a bunch of people on who looks the best. If Miss Universe was a semi-professional soccer player, would that make the Miss Universe pagent a sport? No. No difference here.

WWF is not a sport either. A sport does not have a predetermined winner.

if WWF is a sport then so is Days of Our Lives.[/quote]
I never said WWF was or wasn’t a “sport” whatever exactly that is, and don’t care what it’s called any more than bodybuilding or days of our lives. All three will have their fans and detractors regardless of what they’re called.
