I used to think you were awesome. Now, I’m not too sure.
I was awesome in the 80s…then I stopped being awesome once that word died its first death in 1990…it’s actually like a zombie word; it came back from the dead to walk again.
Well, no matter what decade it is, you’re still rad in my book.
Yeah I was shocked that I wasn’t getting it at first, started to think it was from Trainspotting, then realised that I just watched Trainspotting and I know it’s not from that.
For whatever reason it does sound like I’ve heard it somewhere, but who knows if it was a similar quote in a movie or somewhere totally different.
The only movie that comes to mind right now with anything similar is Anchorman.
Champ Kind: I will smash your face into a car windshield, and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out for a nice seafood dinner and never call her again.
Wes Mantooth: Dorothy Mantooth is a Saint!
Ron Burgundy: Hey, let’s leave the mothers out of this.

Ha, I wonder how Anchorman 2 will turn out. I hope they don’t rehash jokes under a new scheme, like the Sex Panther thing coming back or something.

I haven’t cared much for Ferrell hear lately. I don’t have high hopes for Anchorman 2 at all. I actually expect it to be pretty terrible.
Yeah, I always thought the original was praised a lot more heavily than it deserved, but I still enjoyed watching it every now and then.
I don’t think the sequel is really set up for anything good, I just hope it’s bad and not shamelessly bad. I still enjoy the quotes of some of them though, along with plenty other Ferrell movies.
I really enjoy this, and have used “What is this, a ____ for ants?” many, many times.

Finally… I’ve found someone else who quotes Zoolander lol.

Do you ever think there’s more to life than just being really, really ridiculously knowledgeable about movies?

dude how you figure? both bruce wayne and tony stark have tons of money as use it to create a totally awesome fighting costume, however batman was trained to be an assassin by the league of shadows…and tony stark is just a rich prick

I have a hard time with the fact that I am supposed to belive 2 guys with billions of dollars decide to risk their life and spend their fortunes on crime fighting rather then just chilling on a private island and slapping hookers.
I’m just saying, if i had billions of $$$, i would move up from just slapping hookers and move on to beating them (with thick stacks of 100’s)

this is true, although I’d also have to go as far as including all of batman’s enemies in the class of as awesome as batman. (bane, the mad-hatter, the riddler, and the joker are all awesome)

Yeah, I would include them as well. I meant Batman and those involved in his stories. Which some of Batman’s edge probably has very little to do DC and more so to do with Frank Miller doing a rendition of him.

Well, to be fair, Dennis O’Neill was instrumental in returning Batman to his darker roots in the 70’s, especially with some of the stuff surrounding his confrontations with the Joker and the introduction of Ra’s al Ghul. And before the TV show bastardized him, Batman was as dark a comic character as there was at the time.

My friend and I have a field day any time Malaysia comes up in a conversation. Admittedly that’s not very often… but still.
Also looking for a file “It’s in the computer… so simple.” lol
Shame it was like an underrated cult classic type movie.

Well shows that I am a comic book dunce. When I think of pre-80’s batman, I think far more cartoonish than what we have now.
That would be a pretty awesome fight because they’re both very smart. I am biased towards Batman but I honestly think he would be the winner in such a fight. First, Batman has just as many cool technical gadgets as Iron Man. Secondly, all Batman needs to do is get Tony out of his suit and Tony is done. Batman is one of the top martial artist’s in the world and Tony is for the most part an untrained fighter.
Hell-Billy wrote:
Iron man, the only way batman would have a chance is if Tony Stark used one of his older armors and that would still be iffy. The Extremis armor that tony stark uses has night vision as well as a heartbeat sensor so stealth isnt an option which is Batmans only real advantage. The Extremis armor also has a emp emitter so presumably the armor is emp shielded. Besides Tony Stark has gone toe to toe with the hulk, not to mention the Asgardians i doubt that a man who has taken on gods would have much trouble with some emo guy in a fetish suit who hunts poor people for sport.
Batman takes on Superman all the time.
Besides, Ironman is just a bunch of cheap bullshit and an obvious copy of Batman. Don’t underestimate the mindset of someone who hunts other human for sport.
The likely scenario here is that Batman would be the one going after Ironman, assuming Ironman didn’t just fall out of some other dimension and into Gotham City one night. Batman would always be extremely suspicious of a guy like Starks. So as long as Starks didn’t just fall out of another dimension and Batman was aware of his existence already, Batman would undoubtedly have some sort of plan for dealing with Ironman. The only reason they would clash is if Ironman got out of line and was some sort of threat, or potentially stood in Batman’s way.
I would guess that Wayne Enterprises would engage in some corporate espionage targeted at Starks Industries. The likelihood is that Batman would actually be going after Ironman in an another Ironman suit. Batman would probably make some Bat-specific adjustments to the suit, perhaps upgraded night vision capabilities of some sort, but there is simply no way Batman is stupid enough to go to battle against Ironman without a suit of his own that puts him on equal footing with Ironman. And if the playing field is leveled in respect to the suits, Starks is at a very large disadvantage in literally every other way possible.
Take away the Ironman suit and Starks is a nobody. Take away the Batsuit and Wayne is still someone who gets off on hunting people at night.
I agree with everything you have said so far. But I think we have to throw a variable in there. Is the fight something that batman knows is coming or is it just a random encounter that happens all of a sudden? While I do think that Batman will plan for any eventuality, including taking on Ironman, will he have those resources ready to go anytime, anywhere?
Batman would definitively destroy Ironman, but what if it was a chance encounter while he was at dinner? Would Batman be ready at that particular time and place?

Ha, I live in Spain so I get to use “You is talking loco and I like it!” very often.
I also really enjoy “I got a prostate the size of a honeydew and a head full of bad memories.”
I always enjoy a film that has some catchy quotes in it, Zoolander is one of those films.
I hear people are liking This Is The End, not drastically but enough to warrant viewing. I hear there’s some very funny self-referential humour in there.
