For every person that wants to the country to break up, there’s probably a neighbor right next door that does not. It’s not a North vs. South thing anymore, or an East vs. West, or however else you might try to draw and quarter the nation.

Do you think it’s reasonable to ask such a neighbor why he or she would want to hold onto a neighbor who doesn’t want to be around him, for whatever reason, rational or irrational?
