Bagsy's Training Log

Have you ever dropped the bar on your foot?

Nope.

My shins are bloody either when I deadlift or do olympic lifts. So, all the time. When I did a session with powerlifters they said they never saw someone bleed as much ahahah. Most sensitive skin ever

I nearly didn’t sleep at all. Maybe 3 hours or so. The unit above me decided to have a noisy gathering last night, and I was also invited on what I suspect is a date, scheduled for sorta early in the day today. This didn’t help me sleep at all… The funny thing is that I was by far the most worried about being able to finish this session without cutting corners, because I hate lifting in the afternoon. Since I got maybe 3 hours of sleep, I had more than enough time to procrastinate on training by reading and having an existential crisis (what else are Sundays for?), and then to actually train.

I was breaking in the belt more by using it on my heaviest sets.

Bagsy, @anna_5588 and @aldebaran do none of you have knee sleeves? Just a cheap pair works wonders over your shins to keep the skin on and blood in your bodies…lol

Yeah I do… I put them on my knees lol. This shit is too expensive to be used as armor, and they are already used by deadlift friction ahah

And that’s why they make knock-off brands. In 20 years your shins will thank you :joy:

No, never used knee sleeves before either.

Sundays are the worst. Got any thing you’re going to stress about in the coming week? Might as well use the last free day to mull over that incessantly.

My knee sleeves end up at my shins during deadlifting because, otherwise, the bar catches on the sleeves when they’re on my knee. It is great for protecting the shins though.

However, log and stones will also just absolute murder the shins so much that it’s just not worth fighting at one point.

I pull sumo now so that isn’t a concern. Also, I’m just lazy and cheap.

I like to have mine on Saturdays.

Good job getting the work in under tough conditions. Hope the date went well.

Classes have started again, and while those don’t matter that much, work is hand-in-hand sort of out of that perpetual post-holiday lazy Sunday feel. So nothing in particular. This is part of my personality!

Weekends are generally perfect for them.

I surprisingly didn’t feel too tired but will probably be ready to pass out tonight. Whatever it is, hasn’t happened yet. But thanks!

I’m confused (as someone who has never dated), how you can not be sure if something is a date or not?

This must be a girl thing :joy:

Wait aren’t you married and have kids?

In fairness, the woman I’m married to and have a kid with is a woman I never dated. We were friends first, and realized it ran deeper at some point.

What do you call that other than dating? I don’t think there is a universal definition of how the process of dating works. If you are married and haven’t in any way dated that person, I would assume you are talking about an arranged/ forced marriage.
