I know you’re not a rogue salesperson, but was just curious if you knew what the difference between the Rogue Monster Bands and Rogue Echo Resistance Bands are?
No idea. I’ve used Rogue bands in the past but don’t own any. I’d imagine the Echo are less durable since the primary difference appears to be the price, but unless you’re doing something super intense, I doubt you’d need to worry.
Gotcha. Thanks! Will hold off and see if they go on sale for black Friday or something, then ima get some. Was thinking of the pack that gives one each of #3, #4, #5, but it’s 71 USD. Hopefully it goes on sale
You need that many and that nice of bands? If so, then if I recall correctly, Rogue isn’t having Black Friday deals this year.

Squat

85x5
115x2
Press
35x5
50x5
60x1
2x5 pull ups
20 push ups
50 band pull aparts
Deload sessions feel so pointless, especially since my lifts are so pathetic. I might bench and deadlift on Wednesday. Plan on starting JM on Friday or Saturday. Oh yeah, I guess this means I have to change my log title now.
JM?
I kinda agree for myself too. I prefer to take the “sweet FA” option for deloads.

Yep, why I might not even bother lifting again until it’s over. Think it takes more time to set up than it does to actually lift…
Gotcha. Got the ebook for that many moons ago, never gave it an honest try. Be interesting to see how you go with it.
Yoga deloads are da bomb.
I don’t deload, I take months-long breaks when I hurt myself. Only slightly joking…
Actually, I’m not really sure how much I need. Hahaha. I’ve never used bands or band pullaparts lol.
I was just thinking that over time I’d need bands with higher tension anyway? That was my train of thought
I think you’re overthinking this. You’d be set for years with the lightest band from wherever you shop. Unless you want to use bands for something else heavy-duty you haven’t mentioned, you could save a couple bucks ordering from elsewhere
I ordered a set of 4 from Amazon, brand name is ENVZN, think they were $30 usd. Cant speak for durability as I just bought them but they’re great so far.
Not the first time I’ve been told that. Haha
Use the bands for something else I haven’t thought of
It’s just “future-proofing” if you will. It’s the reason I overthink things.
But yeah, you’re right. They’re just bands. Thanks!! I’ll look that up too, @heretolog. Thank you!
Bands will be there in the future if you need them. Don’t buy things just to buy them, especially since you seemed price-conscious earlier.
Gods, no! I guess my sarcasm didn’t carry over well through the typed word. At least for the ‘get injured being stupid’ part. Doing 2 day a week whole body workouts does give me plenty of time for recovery without needing to take deloads, though. My conditioning work isn’t intense enough to really cut into the recovery.
You’re young, though. You’re probably capable of a lot more than I am before hitting the overtraining threshold, so you probably don’t need excessively frequent deloads.
That’s because they absolutely are.
@OTHSteve Seems like my sarcasm didn’t carry over well either
Kidding aside, being young, small, weak, and female means I can probably handle more volume and frequency than someone in your position or even the average young male lifter. JM prescribes 4th week deload much like OG 5/3/1, but I’ll probably skip it and not deload until after the 8s wave (on the 7th week).
@Cyrrex I always feel slightly out of groove the subsequent week regardless of whether I lift during the week, so I do honestly agree anecdotally.
