Widening your grip wouldn’t necessarily increase the squeeze, it was just way you could get more clearance off the ground. Maybe it will but it could be that you’re short on the squeeze because the bench is in the way. Could play with tempo and stuff I suppose.

But I do maintain that about the wrists. It’s like trying to do the set whilst doing an isometric forearm curl.

with the seal rows, try a 2/3 second pause at the top before you discard them?

Also for squats i still think front racked bulgarian split squats are THE best accessory work to build the size and strength needed to move away from a squat morning!

Well, I’m glad someone notices a difference, hahaha. I’m genuinely trying to squat between my legs now, rather than having my legs act “like stilts” as Dan John would say.

I’m not standing on a chair, so I’m not sure what you mean there. I sometimes prop my phone on a chair to get a better angle than recording from the floor. I am short though – around 161-162 cm.

I’ll try the seal rows again soon and see if they feel any better. I agree that the front racked BSS is a great movement for the legs. I was doing them a couple months ago, but it’s hard for me to recover right now, so I’m trying not to add too much. Good reminder to do them again soon.

ive not seen anything come up on instagram , and i hadnt browsed your log for a minute so im sorry too say i havent seen your squat for a while but from what i remember seeing a while back , the last video posted above your torso , although not vertical, it is much more than before AND the key thing is that it seems to stay at the same angle on the accent , probably bracinng a little better? cant tell alot from the angle of filming , but you do seem to be opening the hips and squatting into the hole more too rather than squatting ontop of your legs. . . .

as for the chair comment, that was in relation to a pic you posted a fair few replies up! but as i said i havent caught up on peoples logs for a while so probably confused you!!

glad to see your still sticking to your goals tho and not program hopping!

Social media is sorta draining for me, and it feels pointless for me to post videos of me lifting the same weights over and over again for months on end on there.

Oof, you’re totally right. Now I feel silly. In my defense, the mirror in my new apartment is a tad higher than normal :slight_smile: hope all is well with you!

Every few months I have to go back into @simo74 log and remind him how much stronger he’s gotten in a year. With a log, that’s easy because you can just scroll back a year, find a vaguely comparable session and put them side by side.

Ha, I wish I were much better after each year!

Today I guiltily took a mental health day and rented a car ($$$$) to go hiking. My friend who owns a car and seemed enthusiastic about going more often has been unresponsive. Definitely underwhelming compared to what’s on the coast. So I still feel it wasn’t 100% worth it, but at the same time it was a nice break from the real world.

Think my legs will be feeling it tomorrow.

I hate seeing posts like this, because it reminds me how privileged I am to not have to worry about stuff like that as a matter of course… Which is why I need to be reminded of it periodically. You guys keep being awesome, and careful.

@anna_5588 @OTHSteve Honestly, even though I care about digital privacy, it almost doesn’t even matter since I registered for a Facebook account in junior high and use Google’s services every day.

I guess on a platform like this I’m concerned that each detail adds up. I’ve already shared personal details and media of myself. I don’t want to make it seem like what I do is more important than what anyone else does, because that isn’t the case, but it could more easily reveal where I live and precisely where I work. Although all those people at Google know everything about me, I don’t necessarily want that number to grow. Especially as a woman on a male-dominated forum. Can never be too careful.

Also, this forum is accessible from google. It’s not like facebook where you can keep it private from outsiders and non friends

Err, yes, I am very well aware that Internet forums are accessible via powerful search platforms like Google. But when folks at Google research me, I highly doubt they care about what I specifically post on here. Who might care about that are creepy men unaffiliated with Google who browse these forums and try to piece things together.
