nice colour!
Honestly, the discoloration seems not that bad.
My dad had a passion for taking pictures of injuries, he captured the half dozen or so sprained ankles I had, I’m not sure what that says about him or my childhood. In any case my worst ones, those that came from basketball or rollerblading down slides all prohibited me from walking for at least a week and turned a beautiful blueish color.
Glad you’re able to be mobile, the neurological component seems terrifying though.
P.S.
One for sorrow, two for Joni Jones is the best song on the album.
I agree! The swelling for the first two days was pretty bad though.
Rollerblading down slides?
Yeah, I had only passed out once before in my life, and it was not in response to pain, so this time was a new experience for me ![]()
I respectfully disagree with you.
As long as you don’t say “Friends” I’m not going to be bothered by it, Spot Dog is also not a fave but pretty much every other song on the album is great.
I was like 8, first time I was allowed to go to the park without supervision lol. Doctor thought I fractured a growth plate it was so bad but given that I ended up looking like Andre the Giant, that probably didn’t happen.
I didn’t even know that was a thing that happened until I read this thread, would’ve definitely been freaked out

There’s degrees of severity, but yes, could potentially be very problematic. Mild would usually just need hydration. Severe could cause kidney injury, which also has degrees of severity
Likewise. I don’t listen to those tracks very much. The rest are outstanding though. Objectively speaking, I think Over There is the best track. The production, though marvelous throughout the album, is really something else there.
Maybe you would have become an even taller human being had it not been for that accident ![]()
I read about it, and apparently it’s not uncommon. It makes sense though – rapidly decreasing blood pressure and heart rate can do that. 0/10, don’t recommend.
At least ankles aren’t required for all those pullups. Strong work in here as always!

I squeezed in more work at my university’s gym after the bike ride. I hadn’t touched a dumbbell in years, so it was interesting. Honestly, I might do this a little bit moving forward. I didn’t realize how much I missed dumbbells. Not necessary but nice to have. I’m still waiting for my ankle to heal; I might continue this routine over the weekend because I unfortunately have a lot of work to do and will therefore be on campus both days. I’m somehow hanging in there. Grad school starts to suck after a while. That’s the current mood.
#Fact. The mood changes when graduating, though! How much longer til you do?
Beats me. I’m expecting to be done by the end of the next calendar year. We’ll see ![]()

Very rough day. So much so that I’m about to eat my first meal now
At least I managed to front squat for the first time since the incident. Clearly, this week (and presumably at least some of next week) is all over the place and not really what this program prescribes. It is what it is.
On the bright side, my friend gave me some leftover produce that she herself grows.

Two-mile run.
There was no way anything else was happening today. I’m mentally beat. A little uncomfortable during the run, particularly in the first 800m, but then it improved. Probably a bit too early to begin running again post-incident. It went better than expected though. Or as well as it can go during mid-afternoon on a hot, sunny day with triple-digit temperatures, an empty stomach, sleep deprivation, and a torn ankle…
Happy Cake Day!!! ![]()
@unicornsandrainbows Pair number two. What have I become?
Take a little breather Bagsy. No need to redline. Life is seasonal.
Yes. But so far things seem to workout and I hope they continue to do so.

So. Hot. Glad that I managed to run this far. After the first mile, the heat was by far the worst thing to deal with compared to my ankle. Wore my new shoes too, didn’t even need to break them in.
Sounds right. They come out of the box flexy and ready.
