Sounds like your trip was great, re-assimilating to your “home” culture is definitely a bit of a mindfuck.
Do it! Not going to lie, I like the plants the best

Hi, yes, it me, @Bagsy. My favorite things are horrible weather and deep-fried food.
Caught up. Lots of exciting developments in your last few posts!
I’m actually pretty good at tolerating horrible weather so long as I’m in the right place…
I’m also excited to read about your prep for the Spartan race and of course the race itself!

At the track:
Jumps
4x600m resets (2:00, 2:20, 2:17, 2:20)
Two-minute plank
Ouch. That sucked. I felt out of shape, yet my times were actually decent. I’ll slowly work my way up to six reps. Four were enough for today. I like how challenging this was. I also slept so long last night and am still a bit tired, also sore.

Sounds like you had an amazing trip! It is always hard to come back, short of sleeping in your own bed. Traveling is like chicken pox, the more you scratch the itch, the more it itches.
Right back into lifting I see, nice work!

LSS run: 6 miles in 51:58
Besides the temperature and chafing, this was pretty good. I hadn’t run this far in several years now. I probably could have slowed down a bit more even though I already had to force myself to take it easier. Not listening to music helps. I think this will be a nice way for me to catch up on music interviews I have been meaning to check out as well as foreign language podcasts.
Nice pace! Looking forward to see how TB goes for you.
Thanks! Have you run TB before? I’m enjoying your log.
No, never have, although I own a few of the books. It seems like an obvious programming choice for me, so it’s def on the list. Just haven’t swung it yet. Maybe 2024. Maybe in three weeks. Ha!
I’m psyched to see how it goes for you/what results you get.
Thanks, I’m enjoying yours too!

Pull-ups are still heavy after my time off, but I hope to add weight soon. I am looking forward to heavier weights in the upcoming weeks. Lifting and running on separate days has been nice.

It felt like summer today. It sucks. I miss the cool German weather.
Lol, it’s still winter here. Had snow on Tuesday…
I don’t like snow but will take the bitter cold over the heat any day.
Hey, I really hope you had a good time and made wonderful memories.
Believe me, I’m very gutted and sorry that I couldn’t make it happen to meet you… Life’s a bitch and things happen.

Some extra running: two miles with The Dog this evening in 8:21 and 8:13. Nothing super crazy, especially because he can’t go too fast, but it was hilly at some points.
No worries, life happens. A lot. I’ll definitely be back in Germany again, hopefully sooner than I think. We can try again then. Maybe third time’s the charm. :^)
And thanks, it was awesome. I miss it there so much already. I hope you’re doing better and if not then at least hanging in there!
