I will resume training tomorrow. Leaning toward SVR II three days per week and filling in the other days with conditioning, so logistically that will work like the previous cycle. I feel refreshed, though my ankle is still a little sore from twisting it during last week’s hike.
I still don’t know entirely when I will go “all-in” on training again because I am prioritizing another hobby for a couple more months. In any case, I am maintaining a small caloric deficit – small enough that I don’t think my recovery will be too negatively impacted from the BBB days. I’ll see though. Excited to get back to it!
Also not sure if I want to switch back to front squats yet or not…
Note: I use Over-achieve jokingly, but I actually dislike that it has such a negative connotation. I’m a chronic over-achiever too, and it should be applauded and admired, not derided.
Seeing other people’s achievements usually either lift one’s spirits or lower them. I think most of those who share their training here fall in the former camp, whether that relates to lifting or not.
Squeezed in a lot of training this week; I didn’t expect to push press until Friday. But I am going to a few shows this weekend and want to make sure I do more rather than less in case my training schedule goes awry.
I hate lifting in the evening. I came home early today, so it worked. Had a poor body image day today, which I am considering a one-off. But it might be a sign that I want to manipulate bodyweight a bit more aggressively – in which direction is always frustrating for me.
The good news is that my kettlebell finally became unstuck! Hooray!
