Accumulated 100 pushups upon waking and throughout the session.

I did not feel like lifting today and really, really, really did not feel like carrying the sandbag. But I am glad I did, and I am pleased that I am pulling 200 like this during a deficit. I am taking this fat loss phase more slowly than in the past, slowly but surely becoming leaner. I stopped retaining so much water after I sent my thesis proposal this week. It’s slow as a small, non-fat woman – so it goes. At least I’m not suffering from insomnia, which almost always happens to me during these phases.

Discovered that my favorite park now has a nice pair of rings attached to one of its pullup bars. Did 4x5 ring pullups, which were evidently tough during my last set.

Upper body is terribly sore. I wasn’t planning to do anything substantial today, but the weather is tame enough that running wasn’t miserable for the first time all summer. That definitely contributed to the sub-23:00 time.

My adjustable Titan KB getting stuck was the cherry on top of everything else in my life going haywire right now. This has happened before, but it’s really stuck right now. Whatever, did the swings even though the bottom half still won’t come off. My body is already cursing the return of high-frequency, full-body programming, so I already want to hop onto another upper/lower split.

Going to take photos with my friend at the park, hopefully take my mind off things.

I got the lighter (40lb) unenclosed kb from Titan, pretty confident the locking mechanism will fail within the first 500 uses, I recommend quite a bit of their stuff, not their adjustable kettlebells. Hope you find a relatively easy solution!

A rubber mallet would probably do the trick. They’re handy but the QC is about what I expected and leaves a bit to be desired.

But your fitness level is amazing. 50 burpees destroys me. And your pullup weight is really impressive.

I usually slam the bell on the floor a few times, but now that strategy doesn’t work. I’ll keep your strategy in mind.

Ran to clear my mind, then got under the bar while my heart rate remained elevated and I was drenched with sweat. Today I propose my thesis, and I am terrified, but a little bit less now that I did something slightly physically challenging this morning.
