Absolutely great article about Iraq.

It’s kind of long so I’m just posting a link. It’s well worth the 10-15 minutes it takes to read, though!

This article talks about some of the economic forces driving the insurgency, how did we get to where we are now, etc.

Note: It’s not a primer on Iraq… it assumes you’ll already know who Paul Bremmer is, what the CPA (Coalition Provisional Authority) is, who Jay is Garner, who the ‘neocons’ are, etc.

I’d like to add this video interview of Karen Kwiatkowski - a recently retired analyst from the Pentagon and Lt. Col. from the U.S. Air Force, also a conservative Republican

This is a great insider view of the inner workings of the neocon agenda. She should know since she worked directly with these guys in her last years at the Pentagon, including during the lead-up and invasion of Iraq.

There happens to be lots of good info from her here but the interview I’m referring is the second link down. VERY eye opening, first hand account.
