Just recently I’ve developed excruciating headaches starting at the back of my head and near the lower neck, when I am in flat positions such as push ups and missionary.
Kind of just came out of nowhere one day as I have been working on push up training, no issues before and now all of a sudden I can’t do 10 push ups without having to stop due to the pain, and then I noticed it started a little while into sex missionary style.
Is this related to TRT? I’m on 220 mgs Cypionate and on week 7 of a 10 week cycle of deca at 200 mgs/week.
Plan on mentioning to TRT doctor tomorrow when I go in for my injection…should I also go to a regular doctor to see what’s going on?
It sounds as though your headaches are musculo/skeletal related in that they are positional. If due to TRT, it would not matter what position your head/neck was in as your testosterone levels are not altered by such. Increased blood pressure can cause headaches, but it does not appear you are putting your head in a position which would do that, like hanging upside down. It can’t be exertional, ten pushups shouldn’t raise your BP.
I had something similar where even doing a warmup with tricep push downs would give me migraine like pain. Mine was the front of the head though. Went and got a neck adjustment from chiropractic and went away. Might have gotten out of alignment so something you could look into
Should add went to doctor first got some ibuprofen 800 and a muscle relaxer and didnt do shit to fix it.
That thought did cross my mind. I’ve been to chiropractors before, but just for minor back pain and the fact I like getting my back cracked. I think that’s a good idea, I’ll try to get an appt somewhere next week.
Everyone here injects their own testosterone in the comfort of their own home, is there a reason why your doctor will not allow you to self administer injections at home?
Another note your protocol could be to blame for the headaches do to the large infrequent dose of testosterone, testosterone and estrogen peaks are way bigger than naturally occurring because our bodies never see the large amount of testosterone (220mg) at any one time.
You could consult your PCP or a DC. Either one should be able to provide an answer and solution. Probably should see a DC, this sounds structural. Your PCP will rx ibuprofen, etc. and it’s not as though your body is ibuprofen deficient and therefore getting headaches.
I started TRT in April, and recently have been thinking about asking to self administer. I really like the doctor and they’ve prescribed Deca for me which has helped a lot, so just haven’t pursued self administration yet.
