Sounds like you have really thought this over. It probably feels good to have a plan. Take pics. [/quote]

I always have to have a plan, otherwise I go crazy

yesterday
30 bike
20 elliptical

I think when the dust settles you can meet all those goals and more
cant wait to see it.

I like this plan more than the previous, you at 242 ripped down is a scary thing my man. Good luck on this new path.

This should be awesome to follow. Best wishes for losing the weight and following your plan. Nothing can stand in the way of determination and a great goal to achieve with the will to back it up. Hope your new attachments are stronger than strong and progress is swift.

Update: MRI results show three heads of the rotator fully turn, labrum torn, and bicep tendon disconnected. Go big or go home.

Saturday did 30 minutes bike

Monday 45 minutes between bike and treadmill

Headed to go do more cardio now, meet with surgeon Friday morning to schedule that. Meanwhile living with pain, and getting ready to move.

PR or ER.

Heal up, big fella, better days are ahead.

Hope you heal well.

Surgery scheduled for 12/23. That gives me xmas to sit around gfs house drooling on myself.

Moved back into my house. It has been 15 months since I slept under my own roof. During the course of the move I fucked my body up even more, and got sick, so last week did nada. Just healed, spent time with family, etc.

Pain is getting a little more managable, and my goal is do something each day until surgery. Not a lot, but just progress with getting leaner and working on flexibiliity, mobility, and conditioning as much as I can while a gimp.

Yesterday

bike 30 minutes

wall squats 4 sets
bench leg raise 4 sets

sissy squats 4 sets
cable abs 4 sets

calve raise 4 sets
calve raise shrugs 4 sets

back extension 4 sets

diet is hugely improved with move, when living with family every meal consisted of lots of starches, fresh bake bread, fresh made pies, etc etc. plus a fridge full of sodas and juices and bags of candy lol. my late night urges this last week have been satisfied by clementines.

awesome update

so yesterday was going to head to commercial gym in the neighborhood before getting kids, then decided to talk to brotard on the phone for a few minutes, then got out to car and remembered my bank card had oddly flown out of my hand and disapepeared when leaving a parking garage the night before. that being said it took me a fugging half hour to find said bank card.

by then I ixnayed gym, grabbed the kids from school - first time doing this easily back in the house, back in the hood, back in the school district. I don’t know if I noted this before, but a) my ex destroyed most of the house since I moved out and b) one of the first things I did moving back in is have the elliptical brought up from my destroyed basement into the living room.

this payed off as while my kids munched on an after school snack, our first afterschool time in the house together in 1.5 years, I got a 30 minute cardio session in. we had dinner and watched some cartoons and snuggled, it was about 5 degrees outside so this was perfect. in fact really fucking healing to be honest.

my 4 year old climbed up on me in my recliner after dinner and was actually upset when his mom came to get him (took a selfie of us posted on fb); my eight year old is very anxious for me to repair the house, which to me is symbolic, or maybe not so symbolic, of everything else.

we all want order in our lives and his mother has denied that for almost 2 years. on a plus note I have coordinated a roommate to move in, charging him just enough to help with bills, but better yet he is a construction guy, and is willing to contribute by helping me rebuild my home, from a construction perspective. so it should work out well.

today worked then had to drive across the city to get a prescription refill, then hit gym, did the following:

machine crunch 6 x 10-15

ghr 4 x 8
hammer curl 4 x 20

cable unilateral row, standing 4 x 10
split squats 4 x 8

seated machine row 4 x 10
leg ext 4 x 10

1 arm pressdowns 4 x 12

machine preacher 4 x 15

very modest weights, just trying to move blood around. and burn calories. and loosen up. would have ended with bike or treadmill but I had had one protein meal in 17 hours, trying out some intermittent fasting, and also had lots of caffeine, so was light headed enough and went and grabbed some curried chicken from a deli just to level myself out afterwords. got a new scale so weigh ins and charting of weight loss starts tomorrow

also a few honest notes on diet. I am fighting a kidney disease, but my neuphrologist is fine with me keeping my protein content relatively high. my biggest enemy is sodium. which is a bitch, because sodium makes meat a lot more tasty. I will be experimenting with sodium solutions when cooking over the next few months, so any input is welcome.

meanwhile my goal is to go from a 308/275 powerlifter to the smallest person I can become between now and June. quite simple. I have very little chances on hanging onto much upper body mass, so I might as well go balls out for the health benefits. and I have a couple of closets full of expensive british hooligan wear that I bought back when I was weighing 240 that I would like to wear again, lol.

so cardio, low carbs, and fasting will be in order, knowing that once I get down to a more normal weight I will be excited to rebuild

So jelly you have actually spoken with the legendary brotard.

I remember trying Mrs. Dash back in the day and it seemed pretty good. Personally, I would salt my meat (a little), no “fast food” at all (tons of sodium), and try to avoid eating out in general (unless you specifically tell them to not add salt).

Sounds like you are definitely on the upswing mentally, which is the most important by far imho.

today - somewhat of a fasted day, had egg scramble with spinach, peppers, and cheese mid day, then steak and salad at end of day. get to eat more tomorrow, yay. snagged one small slice of my kids pizza, kill me

sauna 10 minutes
bike 20 min
treadmill 20 min

a bit of lifting and HIIT tomorrow

today

abs 4 x 12

ghr 4 x 8
bss 4 x 8

ssb box squats 60/150/240/330 x 5

hammer curls 4 x 10
rope pressdowns 4 x 12

rows 4 x 8

felt pretty good, will probably just keep building on something like this every other day until surgery, plus add in some intervals

as of today I am 21 lbs down from when I moved into my house just over two weeks ago.

eat less, move more, and take care of your health

Sunday, no training, too much time with kids, xmas party, then went out for drinks with a friend I hadn’t seen in 20 years. we were partners in crime in our twenties, destroying Minneapolis, New York, New Orleans, and other cities, with our drinking escapades with models that were super or not. We also studied Latin and ancient Greek together, wrote plays, he composes concertos, became a physics major, and now does algorithyms for a large French invenstement bank while living in the posh disterect of London. Not bad for a poor NE Minneapolis punk rock pole. Needless to say I let him pay for the drinks. Of course the crusher of the night is his gorgeous sister, who is still as smoking as she was two decades ago, let me know she had a huge crush on me back then… Any way, I bowed out early enough to get home and sleep and get up and work on my projects today. Then met with a new recruiter, nice smart one who seems to be no bullshit, which is nice. Then back home, changed for the gym, and did the following at Los Campeones I:

rope pressdowns 8 x 10-15
hs preacher curls 8 x 10-15

calve raise 8 x 10
calve machine shrug 8 x 15

cable abs 6 x 8
sissy squat 6 x 8
ghr 6 x 8

bike tabata 6 minutes

walking into this session my quads were already torched, the sissy squats and tabata pushed that further. I am happy with my trend right now to getting in better shape before my surgery, just need to keep focused. being back in my house is definitely a great thinking mentally and physically, despite being pissed off with how much work I have to do. my ex really trashed it, but it is not irrecoverable, and now I am (next section semi sarcastic, brotard and MattXL should understand) finally realizing my life dream of opening up the PeteS Wayward Home for Derelict Anti-Racist Skinheads. Yup, its true, I not only have one, but two roomates coming in, both off of rehab who think living with me will get them somewhere. One is a poet, the other a bankrobber. More details to come…

Never a dull moment in these parts.

Pete glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery in more than one way. Here’s to a new year ahead,. A Pete 2.0. Leaner, faster and better.

I think for someone your size thats like a good shit.
ok two good shits

seriously - thrilled to hear that you are feeling so much better on every front and every aspect.

one being a poet and the other a bankrobber sounds like an amazing song right there
