Back...Into the Deep End

Skipped Thurs., mostly to sleep; woke up, had breakfast, back to bed for 2 1/2 hours :slight_smile:

My day got MUCH better from there; didn’t last long.

Friday, a little Rec. Center pump.

AD/Ab machine, seat hams, leg press…seated laterals, band stuff. Seemed to be wandering around the place, so I left.

Finishing the year…Thank God.

Moved out of old place; everything in storage until next Thurs/Fri. So I’m couch surfing with friends, close to work. Checked out a rec center near my new place. It’s a 15 walk, and has some good Hammer Strength and cable stuff to make it useful.

Minus that, I haven’t really lifted since last Friday, and I’m feeling it :slight_smile:

I turned 50 yesterday; I’m still waiting for cake.

All moved into my new place; not settled really, but I have full Tupperware in the fridge :slight_smile:

Boss(x2) want me to move me from the Concierge desk to maintenance full time (40). Day shift, weekends off, or whatever days I choose; mainly selling it with a decent raise of course.

Coming to the end of my 3-ish week ‘deload’ from training. Still working out the ups and downs, back and forth, of getting around from my new place.

Other than that, nothing has changed.

Best of luck in your new challenges. From personal experience I can tell you it might be just what you need.

Ended the year with heartache and misery; and alone. The big-boy cat I now live with seems to like having another ‘man’ around, so that’s something.

What did I miss??..plenty I’m sure.

Anyway, time to reconnect.

Shopping for a car, waiting to change jobs (not location) but got my raise, training at 24hourFitness (10min walk from new home) which is a good gym for ANY kind of lifting, and I’ve been re-blessed (again?) in my private life.

All around, I started the new year off strong (not literally, I’m afraid).

Been lifting the past 4 ish weeks; 4-5 days a week. Some short, some longer workouts, but getting some work capacity back, along with visible curves :slight_smile:

Keeping it simple, ‘chasing the pump’ often, with some heavy 3-4 reps here and there.
