Mandatory RTO. ADA case lapsed due to gentlemen’s agreement… Commute was well, not survivable long term. TBI’s suck… I have lucked into appointment with concussion doct. in like record time. He’ll provide bullet proof letter for ADA letter, np. He owes me… 18 months of untreated suicide disease. Well at least “he’s changed how he delivers care”. Doesn’t give me back 18 months of recovery during the magic period. But I go on. I’ve been meaning to get appointment to discuss current deficits anyway… Funny how… “When your house is on fire you forget about lunch.”

9/18 Sub-luxed left shoulder last Sunday. Pretty bad for a few days. but healed up rapidly. Dropped weights to protect shoulder.

So pretty sore day after…
stress dosed 1 hydrocortisone… Felt better.

Day after that woke up dead again. Took my 6:00 prednisone. still cold and immobile by work time. Kept getting colder. Stress dosed 1/2 a hydro at 8:30.

I’m going to have to keep an eye on this after every decent leg day.

will try riding bike indoors on trainer… and unilaterals once doc approves.

Saw a study several years back that low double-digit effect on injured limb when other limb worked…

ok, Surgery sucked, well not surgery but recovery… No pain meds for 7 out of 12 hours right after surgery… Nurses were at least triple over committed.

I have had a skilled PT person. Basically, I’m going to have to become a cable master.

Not had enough personal fortitude to do all that I “should” do…

BUT

Strangely I’ve vexed the surgeon by regaining all the range of motion… Like ALL… Maybe a bit more.

Downsides?
Well… My arm looks… mutilated.

I’ve always had square upper arms, no roundness of “normal” biceps. Built by clearing land and processing firewood, not weights…

Well now 1 arm has that rounded bicep look… Cause I’m missing like 1-2lbs. of arm that was there. Loose skin and all.

Anyway, I grow muscle pretty well. so we’ll see if I can get that muscle back w/o tearing it!
