OK, Guys here it is. Bench Day. Last of the cycle.
Bench
10x95, 8x135, 8x185, 3x225, 1x275, 1x315, 1x345, 1x375, 1x385. Thats the state record.
There is a caveat. I knew I had the strength, But I got inside my head. All the guys were there and I didnt want to miss it in front of them. I was half way down when I realized I was fighting it. I corrected and brought it down. By then I spent a little gas. On the way up I hit the upright. It would have been a big red light, but Ill take it. [/quote]
That’s terrific 63! Nice going.

See “Texas State Champions”.
Looking strong G-man. Next 405x1. You and JT got quite a good program running down there. Wish I could join.

Man Id love to have all yall to workout with. I cant imagine how much we would feed off each other… . Wait a minute, Id probably push so hard Id drop dead! Aw well what a way to go!
Havent posted in a while. Try to catch up.
Last bench day.
10xbar, 10x95, 8x135, 6x185, 6x225, 3(s)x8(r)x275, paused last rep on all.
Incline.
12x225, 15x225.
Dips
2x25xBW.
Dead lifts yesterday.
10x135, 8x225, 5x315, 3x365, 2x405, 1x455, 3x365.
Couple things. Still learning Sumo. Its different, but feels good. My mobility is bad. The power seems to be there, but when I try to rep, I lose form. I was stiff legging the 365.
For the first time in a while I feel like my dead lift might come around.
Grey was with us. He pulled 340. Not bad for a 75yo.
My son Jimmy was awesome. He pulled 405. Im very proud.
As you can see JimmyT (Texas State Champs) was an ANIMAL!
We ruled the gym.
Nice numbers for all. Keep kickin’ those weights to the curb!
Your DL is coming around D !!! Nice pull.
Great work, Galaxie. You’re making it harder and harder to catch up!

Thanx, but Im worried about keeping up my self. Ive got a teen (Mikey) and a 20 (my Son), that are about to crush anything I can do.

Good pulling. Just do lots of singles with same weight with minimal rest. Or just stand up between each rep and re-grab bar.
We actually over emphasize the stretch on the sumo’s at first by starting on 3 inch blocks to open up our hips and gain the mobility in our hips-.
What kind of shoes are you wearing when pulling sumo ?
Great Pulls, and great work all around
225 x15 incline is HUGE!
I found that pulling sumo deficits, or standing on blocks or plates has helped my form too.
ps the foam roller is cool!
kmc
Man sometimes things get lost here. Ill try to re post.

Good Idea. Ill try it for sure. I pull sumo and I wear Chucks.
Light chest/shoulders.
Reverse close grip bench.
20xbar, 10x95, 10x135, 10x185, 6x3x205.
Seated Mill.
15x145,20x145,23x145. I was shooting for 25, just ran out of gas.
Incline dumb bell.
12x2x70.
Dips.
15xBW,8xBW.
Spent a few minutes on the elliptical.
Nice, Galaxie. Way to go light. Sheesh.
