Back in the Chase

My son is getting there. He hit 3x2x185 on his bench. His dead lift is coming along. Last week he got 3x5x315 on his dead lift. He weighs 135.

63 nice work sounds like your kid is a stud like his dad.

135 is what I weighed in college to wrestle.

have a good weekend.

Ya got to love that feeling. Great work, keep it going. Your son’s closer than you think! Stay strong!

Lot of work there. I wish I had your upper body strength.

And thanks for the advice on wraps as well. Starting to think about that more as I turn into an old(er) man.

Your bench is super strong. I’m sure the State record will fall soon.

Nice benching 63, good work.

Let me let you fine upstanding readers of this thread in on a couple of secrets. I have trained with 63 and his son. One of the BIG GUY’s upstairs blessing to me. 63’s bench is amazing due to the fact he can barely walk some days, almost died within the last 3 years, and had multiple illnesses early in life.

As for his son he has only one organ. His heart is so big there isn’t any room for any other organ. Pure genuine awesome people. Enough from the old phat Missouri Mule, train hard.

4 plates each side real soon!

Wow guys. I dont even know what to say. I am seriously choked up. This group is amazing. The motivation is fantastic, to say the least.

Barry, you dont know how what you said about Jimmy means to me. That did make me cry.

Tried on JimmyTs Titan squat suit today. Way different than I could have imagined.

Squat
10x135 couldnt get to the bottom, 10x225 had to force my self to the bottom, 8x315 parallel. 10x315 parallel. It was quite tough. Im not used to the suit. If its anything like a shirt, it will take a bit.

Daeds suited
0x225 couldnt get down right, 1x315, 1x325, 1x365, 1x385. still not used to the way the suit pulls. In fact, I couldnt wear a belt.

If you’re having trouble getting to the bottom, maybe you need to eat more and put on some weight!

Man Im telling you, Those suits are brutal. They bruise, pinch and cut you. What happens is, they are so tight you cant move freely with out weight. That way you can overload you muscles. And its the tightness that helps on the bottom.

63Galaxie.

good work. If you are having a problem in the suit sqautting - you gotta sit baaaack to get the thing to work right and to get in the hole - and put some weight on it - with light weight the suits hurts more than helps.

Thats what JimmyT says. I guess its kinda like hitting the groove on a shirt, once you do thats it. He tells me all the time to slow down. I guess its even more important in a suit.

Do you box sqaut? That is the form you basically use when in your suit.
Oh by the way start good mornings if you are serious about big weight in a suit.

good numbers

I try not to box squat if I dont have to! But I get your point. I havent done GMs in a bit. Maybe I should.

Some people are natural squatters. Im anything but. For me, Its the bench.

Dont get me wrong, I would love to be. I really want to be a 3 lift lifter. So Ill plug along.

The weights you’re moving are incredible G63! Nice going.

OK, Guys here it is. Bench Day. Last of the cycle.

Bench
10x95, 8x135, 8x185, 3x225, 1x275, 1x315, 1x345, 1x375, 1x385. Thats the state record.

There is a caveat. I knew I had the strength, But I got inside my head. All the guys were there and I didnt want to miss it in front of them. I was half way down when I realized I was fighting it. I corrected and brought it down. By then I spent a little gas. On the way up I hit the upright. It would have been a big red light, but Ill take it.

Nice work D!!!

Way to go 63g!
