You must be on a rep diet…bulking phase.
That would kill me right now!

Joe, I think you missed a few reps on Tuesday. Better go back and get those done…lol.

Did not have a lot of motivation but luckily arrogance and vanity picked up the slack.

Right on, brother… arrogance and vanity for the win !
Have to admit I admire your consistency with the all your lifts and the amazing amount of volume you’re cranking out.

I’ll be honest, I wish I had a little less consistency and a little more upward movement. The volume is pretty much the bastard child of two conflicting goals. TO up my big three total and to stay relatively fit for my other main sport, Medieval combat.
Wow dude.Really impressed with your gym work ethic. It motivates me to do more.Thank you.
Why think you Sir though there are plenty of others here for more inspirational

I may be wrong but perhaps you have a good balance going with your two passions. You may have to drop one thing in order to excel at the other at a higher level. There is the possibility of cutting down on your sets and reps and increasing the poundage to make progress. Sometimes less is better.

I have been thinking along those lines. I’m changing a bit of my programing around, right now deadlift, where am going to do much lower reps ramping up and still keep some volume ramping down and see if that has some effect.
Looking good Joe. Have you gained any size or strength with this volume?

Its more like I’ve lots a lot of weight while mostly maintaining my numbers. My last meet I had to cut down to the 220’s. My next meet I expect to slightly beat my numbers in 198 and its currently possible that I’ll meet/beat them at 181 as I’m still dropping weight. Was 192 on Saturday for squats.
The best example of the effect this high volume training might have is this; in the picture below I’m the guy holding the large wooden round shield. At this war I was able to run up a 45-55 degree ramp leading over a nine foot wall which I then was able to jump off of and land fighting.
I haven’t tried this for the last few years because I wasn’t confident it would turn out well. This year though I didn’t even hesitate and it was awesome.
That is just so awesome, Joe! You are clearly badass !!!

x2
Losing weight while keeping/gaining strength is the holy grail!
If I jumped off a 9’ wall, there had better be a stunt pad on the other side.
