Avatar: Legend of Korra

I’m still watching. No new episode this week unfortunately. I will say they seem to get right into things unlike the first one that had a good bit of filler. That being said I actually enjoyed most of the filler episodes in the first series and this one seems almost a bit too fast paced. It’d be nice for some filler episodes that helped develop the characters more.[/quote]

I agree, I feel like I barely know anything about Tenzin and his two other siblings.

I saw something the other day where it showed that he had a sister that was a water bender and a brother that was a nonbender (Maybe he’s amon?!?!?)

I’m afraid this may be a pretty short series (in comparison to the original, that is). I hope I’m wrong, but it is moving pretty quickly.

The last episode was crazy, I was not expecting the girlfriend’s dad to be in cahoots (spelling?) with the equalists.

I was not expecting bending “masters” to be so easily beaten. I mean good lord, they got their asses handed to them.

I doubt it, I think the flashbacks are important, the Yukone character especially. I have a feeling more characters will be revealed as the stories progress. It’s a multi season show, but I think it will have less episodes total than the last airbender.

They were doing well, I just think they weren’t prepared for all the tricks the machine had.

I was originally thinking that the police chief and her metal bending posse would just metal bend the robots somehow. Didn’t end up that way.

That is something that’s been bothering me, though, all the chi-blockers seem to be way better fighters than the benders in general. The benders get owned most of the time when they match up with them.

^its pretty pitiful .

anyways the latest episode, thoughts?

They have a hard time because probending is much different than an actual fight. Not saying they’re all probenders of course, but probenders are at a huge disadvantage. It’ll be interesting to see what Lin does.

I think Turloch(spelling?), Amon and the equalists, and that dude from the flashbacks are all interrelated.

Imo the characters fight pretty weakly. I mean, Korra didn’t even waterbend at all against Turloch when she had a friggin river right there.

And on a side note, I just read the Promise part 2. It was pretty weak.

From what I’ve read, she uses fire- and earthbending mostly because they are more in line with her personality. Since she’s more comfortable with fire- and earthbending, she’d be more powerful using them, I think.

But she’s a water tribe gal, y’know?

It looks like that flashback guy was bloodbending all of them. He must be related to Turloch somehow.

I think it’s Tarlock. Anyway I think Tarlock and Yukone are related, they both have northern water tribe totem things. The fight scenes were great in this episode, I’m curious as to how he blood bends without the full moon.

What if Yukone is Amon and Aang took aways his bending? Yukone could hate him because he turned on benders, he could be Yukones dad or brother, it explains how Tarlock seems like he knows Yukone.

Mind = Blown

How in the hell did he figure that out. I only saw like one super small flashback the last episode.

I was wondering the same thing. But I do think they had other flash backs he could have put together to make this.

WOW, even if he is wrong that was a good read.
