hey, guys. in my shoulder routine, by the time I get done with two pressing variations (or many sets of one) I’m too beat to really give my auxiliary lift, lateral raises, any real go. in other words, progressive overload has been hard to obtain due to exhaustion. assuming progressive overload is king in achieving longterm benefits from an exercise…
does anyone recommend/has anyone tried doing laterals prior to your pressing movements? i know cutler does it…
longer breaks and do axillary stuff during the breaks almost like a superset but with 20-30 seconds before you start
like this
m-press followed by a relaxed 20 count then front raises
second set m-press rest, side raises
next set hit the other one
if you are doing 6 sets like me that will get you 2 sets of each then you can do a stand alone to finish the rest of the shoulder work before taking two or three minute break before hitting the other pressing variation
