33 reps! damn, that was a true gutbuster
Thanks man. Someone pointed out to me that the announcer miscounted and it was actually 34, haha. I lost first in the car deadlift at my last competition because I thought I had such a strong number that I could slack off at the end, and then some guy eeked out 3 more reps than me, so THIS time I said that I was just going to smash out reps until I blacked out.

Failure can be a great motivator, haha.

not dead…busy attempting to grow delts…

Hey man, I might only be 6’2", but I’ll still stand up on my tip-toes, look you right in the eye, and tell you… not cool, Mr. Tanner. Not. Cool.

And for something to contrast push, a 32 year old learning to jerk it for the first time.

Learning cleans over the past few months, learning jerks for a couple of weeks.

Just gonna interrupt. Do you leave your squat rack and bars out in that sheltered but open area and if so, any rust?

If you’d like some feedback on your C&J, the dip has a really fast transition. Check out Ilya:

The rack stays out and I haven’t seen any rust. The bar is a bearing bar and it gets put up and out of the weather after every use.

yeah. I really just need to start learning the split, I just haven’t had the time. Right now my best jerk is 130, which is really terrible when you consider i’ve got a 126 push press. What would you suggest to get faster on the dip?

Taken this morning. Not the best pose but I used the camera on the computer with the timer.

Thanks broski’s!!

And thanks push, your ass has made progress as well I’m sure :stuck_out_tongue:

Diet in full swing, pacing along and shaping up nicely. Weighed in this morning at 296.8 lbs. Actually gaining muscle and shedding BF. It is amazing the progress you can make with the right coach who knows what the fuck they are doing haha!

Image altered for privacy, no photoshop was done on the physique.

I found that your photo had been edited. Here is the original. I know you love nature, but I’m not sure if you can bear it.

Video of me doing atlas stones.

Been awhile since I’ve posted any real training related stuff, but with good timing of a check in thread, I’ll share today’s milestone squats for this old fat dude. 575 (PR), then 600 (PR). Sleeves.

575

600

On to 700.

You are simply too kind, my friend. Way too kind.
Nice pic Push. Now that I have been FORCED to look at your posterior chain, I must say there is serious hamstring development. Zercher squats paid off.
