Nope, yes and yes.

I would probably not get most of the negative troll comments I frequently get if were to leave my height and weight blank and only have pics. People are always going to rip, but I REALLY DISPISE the punks who hide in shadows, have no profile info or pics yet feel a need to rip on others.

I’m never going to be 6 foot and 250 and I’m good with that.

I’ll never be 5’5" unless I wear my Doc Martin’s.

And I’m not too concerned with how much I weigh anymore as long as my relative strength, conditioning, bodyfat levels, asthetics and everything else are inline with my goals. I’ve actually been as low as 129-130lbs when I competed in Olympic lifting, and I’ve also gone up to 165lbs just trying to get big and strong. But I’ll end up somewhere in the middle based on my goals.

I’m not a bodybuilder either. It’s just not my thing. It would be if I were much better built for it.

Yeah

Take THAT!

In your faces! You’ve been told by an OUTLAW. No, not “an” outlaw, THE OUTLAW! How masculine is that??? (very!)

Respectively disagree a bit. I hear from women all the time how it’s so much easier for a man to get in great shape as opposed to a woman. now these girls might need to lose 10-20 pounds and firm up just a little. I don’t mean the lose 80-100 crowd.

I told them it’s a helluva lot harder for me to go from 130 at 17 to a solid 200 at 44, than you losing 10 or so and firming up a little. Hell, it’s harder for me to go from 500 in the deadlift to 600. I’m almost there, but it will have taken 6 or so years.

Women can be pussies to, and actually are bigger pussies, hence the term. This is why we call guys that whine and moan and make excuses pussies.

While I don’t disagree with your points, that wasn’t really what I was referring to.

Indeed, obtaining an above-average-muscular, yet still lean physique, is ten times harder than what a majority of females pursue: “being thin”. If all I had to worry about was “being thin”, that would be the easiest fucking fitness goal in history.

However, not every female is pursuing that simplistic goal, and that wasn’t my point.

My point is: If a female who’s looking to develop a lean muscular physique, can obtain obviously visible results in a few years, there is NO reason a male can’t do the same, with the muscle-building and fat-burning advantage he has.
I totally agree with that point, I’m sorry if I misunderstood. I get tired of all the female excuse on why they can’t get into shape, and one of the first is it’s easy to do if you’re a guy.

You’re right if a gal can into into relatively lean muscular shape in a few years, your average male should be able to put on 20-30 solid pounds and maybe even double his strength if he was untrained and not already a high level athlete or such.

And if he is, it’s not hard to get back into shape.

My mind is boggled.

I think you girls see his point. Let’s not get all feminist and girl power around here, now… Obviously his choice of words weren’t very condusive to being respectful to women, but let us not get caught up in that instead of what he actually meant by it.

Whatever his point may have been (and I see that he’s saying that some men are bigger pussies than girls), his basic premise, that the term “pussy” somehow derives from that women whine and moan and make excuses, blinds me to everything else.

Not to get all feminist, but WTF?

Exactly. my wife recently quit smoking after many years. She did it when she was ready without any pressure from me. She is taking the anti smoking pill, btw. A few other gals in the office are trying it and they have all these excuses why they can’t get it done.

She recently called them a bunch of pussies in a conversation to me. she is tired of all their whining about the same crap every day and refusing to take responsibility and accountability for their actions.

They justify what and why they do by silly emotional excuses and never take the bull by the horns. this is from her mouth.

I do know many guys who could get in better shape, but few ever whine about it to me. They say stuff like “Yeah, I’m a fat fuck, but’s that because I’m lazy.”

Of course, if they’re my friend I won’t tolerate most excuses, other than a serious medical issue, so the truth comes out.

The term pussy is thrown out there to mean, acting like a whiny girl. I don’t want to be to sexist here, but i have seen more people talk to me about fitness from the female camp than male. and they have been the least likely to take any advice and give some excuse why this or that wouldn’t work.

I have explained this stuff so many times and have had people argue with me about it, most being female. guys don’t argue with a stronger, bigger person on getting stronger and bigger.

They don’t argue with a who tells them how to get leaner who is leaner than them. Especially a person they know who has gained and lost weight for various reasons, such as cutting weight, lower bodyfat %, greater overall or relative strength.

The gals have argued with me why various things would not work. I’ll give you another example, my wife has a 15 year old daughter. she was a very good hair stylists, but decided she wanted to get a more 9-5 job. she now works as a production scheduler for a major window company. She’s smart and competent at her job.

But her daughter still argues with her about hair. Don’t do that use that product etc.

Now my son lifts with me. he’s 13 now. He has seen me lift over the last 5-6 years I have He’s around a 200 deadlift, and I’m very close to 600.

He sees me shoot and knows he can’t do the same thing. I don’t get any argument about what load we should use for deer hunting, scope etc. Him seeing my results makes him want to do well, not prove me wrong. Competence is important to him.

I have seen many women keep searching for the easy way out in fitness, and not realizing that all the stress and shortcuts, and the energy wasted on them , could have been directed towards effort that would gain results.

You might want things to be different, but you have to accept what it takes and do it. Of course, I don’t have a lot of patience for lazy. when I started lifting at 13, I heard all the reason why it’s not good, with one being what I’m going to do when I’m 40.

I said I plan to lift. well, I’m 44 now and lifting and look like I do. Most of those people are fat and out of shape. But that’s their problem. And most of the negative people back in the day were guys also.

I’m not putting down the women who take control of their lives at all. If you are, then you’re doing a great job. and if you’re offended by my somewhat crass talk, maybe you should look at your efforts and dedication. develop your inner fuck you, instead of your inner I’m so offended.

Here’s an example, years ago my wife was talking about certain clothes that make you look fat. I told her fat makes you look fat, not clothes. she was a little mad, but I also told her that you can’t hide weight from me. now, I think she’s a great looking woman and we have talked a lot about weight.

I try to explain how people have some variation, but healthy people control their weight better than those that yo yo to much. She did understand what I was getting at in terms of body composition vs the scale and so on.

Though she doesn’t like to talk about weight much more. When she asks me how much she weighs I often guess it within 1-2 pounds. she kind of hates that.

True, if you whine you’re a pussy, regardless of gender. when I cal a guy a dick, it has a whole other meaning. dick is of course derived from a slang term for penis.

Pardon my stereotyping, Aleksandr. How ignorant of me.

…but did I say women that fell out of this stereotype were bitches? No…bitches also whine; therefore, that makes them pussies as well.

The exception to this stereotype would be the women I was referring to as ones who take control of their lives. Yes. I called EmilyQ a pussy, but I did so in jest. I would assume that she is one of the many exceptions as she is on this website.

That was such a silly comment about my name, Aleksandr. I am sure a person such as myself would pick a seemingly masculine name for the simple reason that I am insecure of my masculinity. Wouldn’t you agree Mr. Psychology?

Haha. Nothing makes my day more than being a desperado on the internet.

Actually, I just like Clint Eastwood movies.
theOUTLAW wrote:

Ftw.

I don’t know. I find men pretty whiney myself.

You have no idea how often one will comment on my workout and then proceed to explain to me that they can’t do my exercises because of a bad back.

I have never had one woman use bad back as an excuse not to do an exercise.

I figure the backs of the men in this country are pretty much shot, and they should all be walking with canes.

Tom, all that to say, essentially, that your wife can’t control her weight, can’t stop smoking without meds (we’ll see how she does with), couldn’t handle her chosen career, doesn’t like the coworkers in her new job, has a daughter who annoys you, but…

…you like your son pretty well? And that goes to show that most women are pussies? Haha. Ok.

You realize that you yourself sounded kind of whiny up there, talking about how no one listens to you, right?

Also, is the thirteen-year-old your biological son, by any chance? Just curious.

Is that pretty fun? I like to complain about my utter incompetence as a human being on the internet, then wait for some man to give me simplistic, obvious advice (“I’m fat.” “Lose weight!”). Then I ignore him. Because I’m a girl!

But I may try the desperado gig next. Shake it up a bit.
