Not trying to tough-guy you, but I don’t think I’ll have any sort of bruising this time. It’s something I’ll keep in mind in case one morning I think I wake up paralyzed lol

I was on mobile, so i’m not surprised in the least by the Hindi. Also, regarding the bruising, I have hemophilia and bruise absurdly easy so I guess I should have taken that into account. Anything more than 315 on my shoulders results in bruises. The neck turning thing is more to do with the bar rolling up the neck though and pinching right below your adams apple. On me anyhows.

The sheer amount of tonnage they move on a weekly basis is incredible!

Since I’ve never touched a log, I’m going to assume my max is around 450 lbs.

I don’t plan on moving in to a training hall any time soon. But I think if I could get to a point where a 300+ clean and press/jerk is a any day type weight, I’ll be able to handle quite a few different strongman events.

What can you do with a bar? Most people are basically in the same ballpark across the log, axle and bar, depending on how proficient they are with the clean versus the press. My axle and log are the furthest apart between these 3, as I can clean 300+ with a log, but I suck at continental clean and can only do like 240. I can press a much heavier axle than I can clean, and vice versa with log.

All of my overhead movements are pathetic. I’m good for maaaaaaaybe 255.

before yesterday, my best log was 255. So I’d like to think 255 is not pathetic :slight_smile:

Cleans are going very well. 185 feels like <135 felt like a few months ago. That being said, my other goals aren’t progressing quite as well. Going to keep or even slightly raise clean frequency, but keep the weight </=205. Planning to devote the space in training intensity to higher percentage overhead and deadlift, and also adding in grip work.

I probably have self esteem issues.

When you say 255 overhead, my knee jerk, first reaction is to compliment your progress.

When I say 245-255 is my overhead max, my first reaction is to think about how weak it is.
