Hope your wife feels better soon. One of my brother-in-laws has had 4 or 5 back surgeries and his last one a couple years ago was through the front. He hikes like a mad man now pain free. I hope she has the same outcome.
Hope your wife feels better soon Strick. And your daughter sounds like a girl with a big heart,
Thanks gents. She will get there. Just gotta keep her going until then.
Dave, she has a heart of gold, when she uses it.
Working from home for the rest of the week. So I can be here when she needs something. Been a rough day, but it will get better.
Not to mention, one of the pipes on my hot water heater ruptured this morning. Fortunately, Lexie found it (by busting her butt on the wet floor).
Took some time, and some redneck engineering, but it is dry again and passing water.
Day 17
30, 25, 20, 15, 10 (clapping…tired clapping push-ups)
Thank gooodness for redneck engineering! Glad you are able to home. Still sending happy thoughts for Mrs.Strick.
Way to stay with he push ups Big Man…especially with everything going on. Geez we need to grab a beer together so you can air out!
Thank you CL. She can use the positive energy.
And redneck engineering is an art all its own.
Paul, if you weren’t half the country away, I would have already taken you up on that…several times!
Day 18
30, 30, 25, 15 – no clapping today
I just tried, unsuccessfully, to do clapping pushups. You are really strong.
I’ll try to get some video today. They do not look as impressive as they should…lol.
Clapping push-ups – Tired effort.
My rear is a bit elevated so that my gut doesn’t hit the floor before I bend my arms ![]()
Day 19
10, 30, 25, 10, 15, 10 (clapping)
My left shoulder is beginning to bother me. Feels like the bicep tendon, which has been an on again, off again issue for 7+ years. I wonder if it is all of the pushing I am doing with little to no pulling.
Way to get after it big man!
Great job on those, Strick!
That’s just not right… objects that big aren’t supposed to move like that!! The Big Man is bringing it !! well done young man…
Thank you ladies…and Paul. They aren’t the fastest push-ups in the west, but they suffice.
Sadly, I am changing my programming a bit. Tired of the persistent back pain. So…

Day 21…
25, 25, 25, 15, 10
My youngest and I pulled up the beans, out of the garden. cleaned, snapped and canned them. That makes 16 pints of green beans out of a 2 pallet, pallet garden. Not too bad.
Then we mowed the grass. Came in and did my push-ups. Now working on dinner.
The good news is that Mrs. Strick is doing better. She is up and about more and not in as much pain.
Wow! Nice harvest. Glad Mrs.Strick is feeling better!
Amen! awesome stuff Skip!
Glad to read about your wife. Your garden produces more than I would have thought.
