I want to know about the atkins diet and its possible role in the cutting phase. Is this diet safe? It seems to have a proven scientific basis. I have diabetes on both sides of my family so this diet seems ideal for a person who is borderline hypoglycemic. Will it actually help to maintain lean mass? Is it safe with training? Should cardio be stepped up or down while on it? Yes I know it is a lifelong diet but what most people don’t know is that you add carbs back into your diet after the induction phase until you stop losing fat. I plan to use induction to cut and then add carbs back in until I can maintain maximum endurance and mass levels easily.
i know people that have lost 12 pounds in two week on atkins…of course most of which was probably water weight. From what ive heard and seen though atkins restricts carbs way too much and can lead to muscle breakdown…its more of a diet to lose weight not maintain muscle. Im currently trying the t-dawg diet which is a low carb high fat, but still allows more carbs than atkins on training days…ill post results as they come
So is it the carbs on training days that keeps muscle intact? I’m thinking of taking pentabolsol and tribulus while doing something along the t-dawg diet though still with an induction phase like Atkins. Should I do no cardio and lots of lifting? I’m thinking the combination of all of these things could lead to major long term reduction in BF% while maintaing and perhaps even building mass.
well as i said im pretty new to the t-dawg diet. im going to add in some cardio probably just some jump rope 3 days a week for 10-15 minutes…i know the carbs are essential to post workout to help with recovery and what not. from what i have researched the diet is mainly for fat loss but still can show some increased muscle. i believe its just more of a bodybuilders version of atkins because the last thing we all want is to lose hard earned muscle…im trying it with some trenbolone to see some real hardening results…as i said ill keep you posted with results
I’m with you I believe supplements and drugs should be used during the cutting phase. I know its the opposite of what most others would believe but if a builder can cut more efficiantly and maintain mass then they won’t be taken “two steps back”.
