Squats went fairly well. I worked on tightening my upper back and 415 felt like nothing, 445 and 470 still felt heavy, but not ridiculously so. I was favouring my right side on the heavier squats, not dramatically but it was noticeable. I think this has more to do with fatigue than it does weight. Had work so only got first round of squatting in. I’m not sure how I’m gonna play the rest of this, I still have 2 more days of training this week (+the squat sets I didn’t finish today) and I’m suppose to go to Kentucky thurs. That leaves tomorrow, and I have a lab exam and midterm the next day. There just doesn’t seem to be enough time, I might finish the last day early next week and then deload the rest of it. Come back and do two weeks of more intense work in preparation for the meet and then take the final week light.
Was back home this weekend so trained at the Anvil. The dead feels very strong right now, hit a couple rep PRs with minimal effort. I think 550x3 is definitely doable if not more. Altogether very pleased.

Squats felt tough today and didn’t move well. The first set of 415 was a grinder and while the other 2 were better they were both uglier than I would like. I decided to cut it there rather than grind through 3 more sets of shitty technique squats. I think I’m ready for a deload week and then a drop in volume and some heavier weights. The circuit was a change of pace to get some work in, I learned that in the future I shouldn’t do bench for this as the last few sets were making my pecs feel tight and uncomfortable, also I almost didn’t get the last rep of one set…that could have ended badly. It was kinds fun though and made me sweat like crazy.

No my job and classes really aren’t that intense. I think it’s just the nature of the training I was doing, I was basing my squat template off sheiko 30. It’s just alot of sets before I even get to the working sets and the workout ends up being a pretty intense beat down. So by the last few sets I’m always tired, this isn’t really a bad thing I just have some technique issues that seem to get exacerbated when I’m tired. Also I’ve been hammering it for four weeks and I figure that’s about as long as my body could take the accumulated stress, hence the deload.

squats felt nice and fast as they should. The bar was a little lopsided and my left shoulder hurts a bit from holding it. Put on some ice and it feels good now. I felt like I was comming forward just a little in the bottom of the squat, I’ll have to play around with head position and driving out of the hole to fix this.

Squats weren’t super strong today but I got what I wanted, tried a slightly narrower stance and a lower bar possition. It felt good but I was pissed about how shitty my form looked. I was kicking my hip way over to the right on all my sets. Bullshit. Need to focus on this in the future. Gonna do some split squats to try to bring up the lagging leg. Boards felt good, 365 is a PR I believe, had to hand off to myself as well.

Squats were ok, this might be a PR for belt only triples. Last rep on each set came forwards and I twisted to the right slightly to bring it back, didn’t look good. Bar was lopsided but hips seemed ok. I’ll put up the video later. Elbows were in pain, I need to remember to take some advil before workouts. Presses were meh but with the elbows not terrible, whatever, I suck at them.
