Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Just bought it. For 55 dollars instead of 87.

Yes you are, was playing last night after went to dinner with wife and son. So stared around 8 pm. Wife comes up a little later lays on the couch for about 5 minutes. Says she is tired and going to bed, I keep playing. A little later she woke up and says she is going to get our girl from friends house, I’m grumble okay. I keep playing. Suddenly eyes start to feel sticky and tired, I look at my phone and realize it is 3 am in the fucking morning. This game can be very time consuming. Good luck. As I sit here and type I am trying to avoid just going up and starting it back up again.

Oh holy crap it’s addictive. And good.

You must be a helluva guy if you’re still married, haha.

Or, you have helluva woman,

Yeah…

ok so who has this for PS3 and who has it for the 360? I’m trying to decide which system to get it for.

I have it for the 360. Gamertag Blaze xssm. Pretty much everyone else in this thread has it for the ps3. lol. I beat the campaign, it was a lot of fun, I still have a bunch of side quest stuff to do. Then I tried the multi, which was pretty awesome. I seem to be really good at getting lots of kills, I just need to work on my points per kill.

Just an update after a week of playing it, they truly captured the feeling of being in an action movie with this game. This may be one of the few franchises where they clearly made drastic improvements on whatever it is you may not have liked in the previous two. With downloadable add ons, they could update this game for the next 5 years if they wanted.

Also, for those that didn’t know, there are add ons available for both AC2 and Red dead Redemption with the one for RDR turning it into a Zombie landscape where you are one of the few alive. I donwloaded the one for RDR but haven’t played it yet.

I don’t know why people rush through games like this. It actually rewards you for longer game play by paying you and allowing your recruits to gain experience.

There won’t be another decent game until next year so why not slow down and enjoy the good ones?

Rushing through this game just means I will end up replaying it sooner…which is not as fun as the first time.

Awesome.

I haven’t got mine yet because I’ve just moved house, but December is going to be an unproductive month.

I thought I was joking but (my excessive use of) this game made me fail a test for he first time in my life. I’ll fix that mistake in no time, but damn I like this game.

Just a warning of sorts, sections 8 and 9 of the memory are all back-to-back missions, with no free roam. I was originally planning on stopping in section 8 and doing a lot of the side quests. So, if you want the romulus armor, etc, you need to do it in the earlier sections.

I also had almost all the buildings purchased, and all of my assassins were level 10 due to lots of contracting.

I’m not overly impressed by this game I’ve only played it for a couple of hours in total but it dosnt seem as free flowing as the 2nd game.

I can see now that video games in the future are going to make me wish I was born around 2020…if the world as we know it is still here.

I have 90% of Rome rebuilt and 10 Assassin recruits at Assassin level. Have the Romolus Armour and now just wondering around before I start the last memory that will take me to the end. I plan on getting all the flags and feathers and 100% Rome rebuilt before I do that however.

X I agree with you they fixed all the problems from the first two, highly polished game.

Damn, I’ve only just started playing the 1st AC. I’m way behind as far as games go since I don’t usually have time to play, but I picked it up for $10 used this weekend. I think it’s awesome, and if the 2nd is better and the new one is even better yet, I think I have a LOT of playing in my near future.

^ AC2 and Brotherhood are both leagues above the first one so enjoy them

I loved the first game.

I really wish one of the games would return to that setting with the updated style of play…

Who’s been playing multi-player?

I tried it for the first time last night for about an hour and then forced myself to go to bed…
…it was different, took a little getting used to… and then I quickly decided I loved it.

…though I haven’t been able to effectively counter. It feels like the “assassinate” command grabs you WAY too early. There have been a couple times where I spotted the person hunting me early and started to dash/counter, and it started the “fuck me I’m dead” animation from pretty far away…

Hopefully they refine it. But still… awesome concept. I idiots bounding around on the roods with my concealed pistol.

I’ve played the multiplayer a fair amount. I’m level 23 or so. The assassinate command does have pretty ridiculous range. I’m not really a huge fan of Wanted. It’s alright, but it leaves a lot up to chance. Alliance is fun because you can guard eachother’s backs somewhat, but it’s still a lot of chance. So far my favorite mode by far is Manhunt, it forces you to use a lot more strategy and is more balanced/leaves less to chance.

Have you been able to effectively counter an assassination attempt?

Someone did it to me once, my character got punched in the face and lost the contract, so it seems like if you get the timing down, it’s pretty effective.

The only way you can usually counter is by getting behind the person and stunning them. I’ve seen it done from the front by this method: Person being pursued drops a smokedbomb, somehow dodges (I think it’s up to chance), then stuns the attacker.

I once had someone dodge an assassination attempt without a smokebomb but I have no idea how it happened.
