Hey guys, Im going to try to start keeping a log here. I just competed 2 days ago at an RPS meet in CT. I had a fantastic day, hitting 3 PRs with a PR total and I feel like I left weight on the platform too.

The plan is to compete at another RPS meet in RI March 29th, mostly because its 20 minutes from where I go to school, so I figured I couldn’t pass it up.

With that said, I’ll be using a variation of 5/3/1 to work up to the meet. I should be back in the gym in 2 days because I’m still pretty sore as of now.

Tuesday’s Training:

Deadlift: 415x2

Sumo Dead: 335x2x3

GM: 135x2x8

Pulldowns: 140x3x8

Ab work.

Back to really hitting the weights hard next week.

Squats:

Deads:
245x5x10 (Holy back pump)

Hack Squats:
Very light, 3 sets around 150ish

Ok session today, considering I went out last night and drank a decent amount. Got about 5 hours of sleep too.

Fun thing happened though. 4 football players were benching on the only bench in the gym when I got there. No problem, I’ll wait.
55 WHOLE MINUTES later, I went over and asked if they were done yet cuz they were messing around on the only bench there. 1 of them freaked out, kept telling me “I aint no bitch.” Somehow managed to walk away from that without losing it. Wouldn’t have ended well for me, but I was almost too pissed to care.

Decent session. Still sore from squats on Saturday, but I’m back to my normal routine now so I should be adjusting. Only negative was a pretty solid torn callus from the deads. Hopefully that won’t be an issue.

Trying to ignore this torn callus. It hurts like hell when I’m taking notes in class, yet doesn’t bother me much while lifting. I’ll take it I guess.
