Gee, that’s actually exactly what I was talking about and exactly what I have been repeating for pages now.

You could also factor in the potential for early closure of growth plates leading someone to be shorter than they otherwise would be. That could potentially affect overall proportion. Either way, some of that he could balance out over time but he really shows that sort of look in earlier pics from a couple years back.

Jesus Christ

You may as well just say you meant that hot dogs cause spot reduction of fat.

Next time tell us ahead of time when the meaning of your posts requires a translator/interpreter.

Why do you guys even waste your breath arguing in here? Anyone with half a brain can see PX misquoting/making shit up all over the place. Just let him live in his delusional world where he has a better back than Rockell.

Anybody know how Lesukov did?

Huh, he does look ok in the contest pics. Guess it really was just that one pic where his chest looked like it was kind of too much for him.
He still has a baby-face in the off-season

As for the gear-at-young-age debate, I don’t know shit about that and it’s effects so I’ll refrain from commenting.

I would have guessed that his crazy chest was due to it being a genetic strong point, having that particular genetic shape, and a great mind-muscle connection combined with crazy pressing strength (seriously, the guy weighs like nothing and does 440x7+ all pec).

?

How does this:
I’ll come right out and say it…he looks like someone who started steroids way too early and relied on them for most of his size. I tend to see the same problems with balance in similar individuals and I really think it is because they grow so fast they can’t keep track of issues like that…which is why his chest is so freaking huge it looks strange.
.
Need a translator? It was my first post about what you keep arguing about. There was no mention of his use of steroids before this.

Maybe you’re just slow since others seemed to understand what I was saying.

He also looks good for this contest.

? You just “misquoted and made shit up” with that statement. Since I never wrote that I have a better back than Rockel, maybe you should stop lying.

/Fucking hell. No more arguing about roids/genetics/effects of training. This thread is for DISCUSSION of the ARNOLD AMATEUR.

Any1 know the results?

Pics? Vids? A discussion on the actual topic please.

Over All Winner
Matthias Botthof

Super Heavyweight

 1. Matthias Botthof
 2. Antoine Vaillant
 3. David Hoffmann

Heavyweight

 1. Alexey Lesukov
 2. Bures Tomas

Matthias Botthof won the overall. He’s a super heavy, 6’1, and spectacular-looking. Definitely deserved the win. Has a wow factor onstage.

It is infuriatingly hard to find info on the amateur contest, but I believe that Alexey won heavys, Botthof won super heavys and overall, and Antoine V took 2nd in super heavys.

I also read that Botthof refused the pro card because he prefers competing as an amateur.

You can do that? Damn. That seems unfair. Someone who’s already at the highest level out of those competitors, instead of going up against harder competitors, gets to stay and dominate people he’s already beaten.

That’s like if a highschool running back got recruited for a D1 football school, but said “No, i’d rather stay in highschool, there’s not as much competition here” and could actually do so.

I believe a lot of the European guys (depending on what country they’re from) can get sponsorships from the governments or certain organizations as athletes. Thus for them to take a chance and come to the states is somewhat risque. Especially when some of those sponsorships can entail a place to live, a car and pretty decent money. Whereas with the States it’s really a crap shoot whether you can get a sponsorship and god knows with all the politics of IFBB bodybuilding, it can be very hard to make a good living as a foreigner.

As for your high school remark, it’s really not like that. If you look at the world championships in Azerbaijan that were held this past year, you will see guys who would do a lot of damage on a pro stage. The competition in Europe/Middle East is very good and is sometimes better then the IFBB.

I really didn’t like at all how Antoine looked in his contest pics. He looked bad ass in the pics posted earlier but on stage I was kinda like mehhhh

Take notes, X. This is why people value CC’s opinion more than yours. He’s not afraid to admit he doesn’t know something and refrains from making ridiculous assumptions on said topic. I respect him all the more for it.

Carry on.

LOL @ take notes. How about I post what ever I please and you read it, ignore or simply fucking deal with it? I don’t remember looking for your approval on anything or your “respect”.

It was just a piece of advice to help maintain your e-God persona, no need to get testy.

Yeah I agree, although I think his 2nd place is indicative of his great potential. His condition really wasn’t great at all, if he continues to bring up his upper body and come in better condition, he’ll be getting a pro card ASAP.
