Are My Quads Too Big for My Upper Body?

And for the record, I am not sure why Asperger’s is even being discussed because this kid does not seem to have this issue. If I had to guess, I would go with ADHD and possibly foster care.

I think Trollberger’s is more like it.

That may be the case, but I treat a lot of kids who act like this guy. Many of them are in foster care and on at least 3 different medications to help control their behavior. Many have been through experiences that have even led to psych episodes.

Also, like I said, I know quite a bit about Asperger’s and the impression people were getting seemed to be that it is like being “handicapped”. For the most part, aside from extreme cases, it isn’t. There are many well known actors, doctors, lawyers and engineers who have this disorder and most are probably undiagnosed because this a fairly new category for psychology.

I just googled that Asperger shit, and now firmly believe I know 3562 people who suffer from it.

Doubtfully. One of the stand out factors is that many with that particular disorder have IQ’s ABOVE average. They are generally successful people who have degrees of difficulty with communication.[/quote]

I agree. I’ve studied about Aspergers a bit and I think many creative types of the past fit the profile. Some interesting case studies I read were Stanley Kubrick and Nicola Tesla. I saw a documentary on Benny Hill a while back and suspect he had it as well. All of them were socially withdrawn but consumed by their fixations and consequently very creative.

Interesting post Professor!

You forgot extreme sound sensetivity as a keynote symptom

My Boy was diagnosed with AS…

There are huge variations in presentation.

He is doing very well, even for a neuro-typical 13 year old. He has a few discomforts, and some cool strengths.

Thanks Prof X for the work with kids with challenges and or difficult situations.
