And scientists are not philosophers. They tend to be awful at it. And scientists have not proved the absence of God, as a side note. Did Hitchens disprove the existence of God?

What’s interesting is how the ones who claim to “prove” the existence of god, never prove the existence of their God. They’ll come up with an argument for the existence of a creator but never the creator that their religion describes.

You do know that it’s impossible to prove a negative? How could someone prove unicorns don’t exist, for example? So the burden of proof is on you.
That’s why scientists spend their time doing more productive stuff.
They’re not attacking god, it’s just as our knowledge increases, people have to reach out further to justify what they thought god is, so their beliefs feel attacked, not the objective truth.
Or completely deny reality to make a safe space.
