Are more Americans killed in war or by big pharma?

Ops right. The third-leading cause of death in US most doctors don't want you to know about

Harm from medicine is top 3 cause of death.

I’m picturing a Woody Allen film.

I kind of want one as a pet now. I’d pick polar bear.

Although I guess that’s just an ermine.

And the bear sized duck would be a cassowary.

Medical errors are not the same as pharma. But it’s still a significant concern. People will complain about cops and their competency, using the number of people they wrongly kill each year, but that number is almost nothing compared to how many doctors kill.

You’d want a giant version of Daffy?

At first I thought this was real and that was your wife or something.

Then I scrolled down a bit and see a Starbucks straw between two greased up balloons and a sexy Woody.

Nah, she can post her own selfies here if she wants. I just like that photo for . . . reasons.

I bet Andy’s mom’s toys are also named Buzz and Woody.

They being who and accountable for what, exactly? Oxy? Blood pressure control? Ibuprofen? What are we mad at and how is it making us a victim?

I think that number gets very difficult to parse out, and much smaller when you look at the difference between “couldn’t save” and actually killed.

My girlfriend in high school was actually legitimately killed by malpractice. Went in healthy for a relatively simple procedure, and was dead (horribly, none the less) a few hours later.

Me on the other hand- nobody would have thought twice if I hadn’t pulled through on the heart attack. That would be a legitimate “nothing we could do” situation.

This is interesting. I was just having a similar conversation with a buddy this afternoon. Would you take $5,000,000 to fight a tiger with a spear or $500 to fight a bobcat barehanded?

Just over 1,100 last year.

Was trying to give Castoli some basis for his thread.

Quick there is another one, look in the mirror. You are a troglodyte masquerading as a human. You need to retire.

Ummm… the jerkoffs at pharma who are responsible. Yes, oxy would be one. What about the deaths from Vioxx? From that household name known for trust, Merck.

I hope that moron stays in as it will give a 3rd party a better chance.

I should try yoga.
