let’s imagine I completely stop lifting, and would only do mma/BJJ/Muay Thai
would it be enough to maintain my muscles while eating at maintenance?
would it be enough to maintain my muscles while I’m on a calorie deficit (to cut)?
If you stop lifting,you would have to replace that stimulus/ stress on the muscles within your combat training.But do keep in mind that lifting also plays a big role in injury prevention.If combat sports are your primary focus,lifting would be suplementory training and as such should dont be overdone,but tossing it out altogether is not advised.
