Are "Bro Splits" Optimal When On Enhancements?

Ok. Probably not just me being weak then. Interesting phenomenon then, that 7th set. That’s when I had to start doing sets as 8+2, 7+1+1, etc.

Btw BBB isn’t just 50% for 5x10, there are different versions but I always liked the one that ramped up over a few weeks until you couldn’t hit the 50 reps any more.

i know, there is also 5x5 @80%, 5x30@90 and 5x1@TM but those are the opposite of 5x10 as they are much too heavy to be done long term, at least for me.

Sorry I meant that BBB isn’t just 50% 5x10, in different BBB variations, there is the BBB 3 months challenge and a few different ones were the 5x10 can ramp or increase each week. I think there is a good piece on Jim Wendlers website if you google 531 BBB.

Found the 3 month challenge from the t-nation article but if you google 531 BBB Jim’s own site has more detail.

I’ve got three of his books and used to do 531 a lot (before my disc ruptured), so I know there are loads of different versions.
