AquaCruzer's Training Log

Well I guess you can respond to everyone’s comment but mine :frowning:

WheySad.JifPB

Much gratitude for the congrats and the lulz…i suppose.

Adamlarrysessi, i’m sorry :frowning: Could you find it in your heart of hearts to forgive this miscreant?

Pressing
Friday 11/25/11

Bench press
warm ups
2x1x275
2 x miss x 295 (wtf)

bleh, elbows/forearms/something just wouldn’t have it. Decided to OHP in hopes of having a better showing there.

Military press
warm ups
1x185, 205
2 x miss x 225

Same story as bench pressing. Not happy with today, but I must put it behind me and move on.

Here are some progress pics. Weighing 225 lbs in the morning lately.

I’ll post some pics from January for comparison.

Longer hair and prob 190ish.

Meh posing and more meh lighting.

I forgive, but you must promise to not break my heart again.

Back is getting theeick. Noish

Don’t sweat the fails man. It happens. You’ll get them soon … very soon.

Dem wings.

You have such a derp face in the new pics.

Looking thick.

Definitely looking way thicker… good work. I should probably try my best to head towards your weight… then maybe I’d have a chance at putting 225 on the bar for military (omgwtffml)

@adamlarryperfuctku: I promise. I’ve learned my lesson. Thanks :slight_smile:

@spar4tee: thanks man. I won’t sweat it, I’m just gonna keep on plugging away.

@phlegms: I know, I’m sporting quite the pair of hummingbird wings.

@matt: lol thanks man.

@jake_j_m: I appreciate it  Gaining weight can definitely yield increased poundages.

RTS - Volume block: Week 1, Day 1
Sunday 11/27/11

Oly squat
2x295 @7.5 (wasn’t sure if it was 7 or 8)
2x305 @8
2x315 @8.5
2x325 @8.5
2x335 @9 vid
2x335 @9 vid

Block pull (off ~ 4 inch blocks)
2x365 @7.5
2x385 @8
2x405 @9 vid
2x385 @8.5
2x385 @9
2x385 @9 felt easier than previous set
2x405 @9 vid

Interestingly whenever I tired sitting back more/dropping my hips, I felt weaker.

Will take some time to get better at using RPEs. I did notice that I’m more likely to be too conservative with my squats (i.e. I think underestimate what I can do), but am probably the complete opposite when It comes to DLing.

Squat
3 sets w/ 225

Ab wheel
3 sets

These were done nice and slow with a ‘pause’ when fully extended.

Overall good day.

Are you running RTS on your own or with programming from Mike?

Just on my own. Although getting my programming done my Mike would be amazing.

This looks confusing…and new… Care to explain it to me?

Yeah it would. So you’re for sure focusing on powerlifting now?

@phlegms: Haha sure thing. I’m following what’s called the Reactive Training System by Mike Tuchscherer. Because I would rather not tell you the wrong thing and because I’m kinda sorta lazy, I’d take a look at this: http://www.elitefts.com/documents/reactive_training_manual.htm

Keep in mind that I bought the RTS manual where certain things are explained more. I hope that sorta clears it up for you. I’m more than willing to answer questions, but keep in mind I’m still a major noob.

@matt: Yessir.

That looks really interesting, looking forward to seeing where it takes you. Next stop, swole central brah’!

Good deal. I’m still working on finding my focus. It’s cool you’ve found what you like.
