Speaking of my mock meet, which in dec. 10 or so. After doing that I’ll run sheiko 29, then I’ll be jumping on the RTS train. Gahd so excited.

Squats and bench in the same session? I thought you weren’t doing Sheiko until Dec!!

Mock meet, sounds awesome dude, hope it goes spectacular. Just remember to take plenty of time between attempts and lifts, so get the most form it.

Deadlift - Week 5
Wednesday 11/9/11

It’s unnecessary to go into the the details of today’s session. Started off with deficit pulls. They were ok until I got to 315. My left elbow started to have a sharp pain. Wasn’t able to pull without it hurting, plus my grip felt weak.

Did some snatch grip SLDLs with 225, elbow was still irritated. Finished off with a few sets of t-bar rows.

fml, my upper extremities are that of a octogenarian. The optimist in me tells me that I hit a squat PR a few days ago, so I should be happy and tha I just need to keep on trucking and prevent injuring myself.

You tried out anything like elbow sleves etc. to see if it alleviates the pain at all?

Worked up to an ez money single with 185. Kept this short since I was in a rush.

Wootz. After the first set, sum bros were distracting me. W/e got moar reps than Ho on the 1st set.

Very disappointed aqua, everyone knows proper etiquette when coming across a wild bro in the gym is to politely offer them a brojob or a bro-massage as a peace offering. I hope for your sake the guido gods have not been angered…

@phlegms: lol, well I’m not well versed in the ways of regular gyms. I’ve been cooped up in my garage for too long.

Squat - Week 6
Saturday 11/12/11

Squats were no good today. Oddly warm ups started quite well but things seemed to go south at around 275. Couldn’t seem to find that sweet spot for the bar and couldn’t get that upper back tightness.

Did a some sumo pulls just cuz. Finished with some ab wheel and split squats. Overall meh session.

Bench press - Week 6
Monday 11/14/11

Lots of curls and band pull aparts.

Bleh. Left elbow was not good. Experienced some pain as I lowered the weight to my chest. Not a sharp pain, but enough to affect my performance. It almost seems like I’m not meant to bench. I may just have to just do what I can, which at the moment is OHP and DB press.

EDIT: board pressing may be worth a shot.

Wednesday 11/16/11

1x405, 425, 455 PR +40 lbs

Ab wheel and piss poor attempts at dragon flags.

Not so pretty form with 455 but I got it up. Thumbs were not up for hook grip today, so went to a mixed grip. Happy to hit a PR, yet no so happy with it. Oh well, time to move on.

On a more general note, I’m probably going to be starting RTS a lot sooner than planned. Planning on getting a squat PR before starting RTS and hopefully a bench PR, that is if my elbows/forearms are up to it.
