Could’ve gone for more than 305, but I’d rather get more quality reps in over the next few weeks, than miss an attempt or two down the road. Anyways in doing so I leave more room to progress.

No need to kill yourself now, save that shit for the platform
@phlegms: I’m eternally jelly of your oly lifting prowess. Weight gain has been steady, last night I weighed in at 231 lol. But usually in the low 220s when I wake up. Lately I probably having been eating as much b/c my rice cooker decided to just die out of nowhere.
Week 1, Day 5
Wednesday 9/28/11
Was so tired during my 1pm class. Decided to take a nice nap and lift in the garage instead of lifting on campus.
No dice with the cluster sets. 1st tried 280 then 265. Forearms would not have it.
The set w/ 265 the 3rd rep drifted toward my head, luckily I was able to fix it. Made sure to keep it in front of me on the set w/ 280, seemed to help. At least I hit a PR today.
New high frequency thing looks awesome, I’m trying to keep up with progress in this here log but your smashing through too quick, slow down so I can read easier yeah?
Or don’t, and keep hitting it hard, up to you really
The forearms are a bit of a worry, what’s going on? You seen anyone about them yet?
@Getting Closer: Thanks man I can’t make any promises about slowing down lol.
@staive: aww shucks <3
@MAsteve: lol I’m just trying to get better everyday. I wish I knew what was going on with my forearms. I haven’t anyone about it. But in the meantime I’ll avoid anything that bothers it. At the moment that means benching, at least I can still OHP. I may as well use this as an opportunity to try and focus on other things, like my squat, DL, and OHP.
Week 2, Day 2
Saturday 10/1/11
Band pushdowns and hammer curls.
Bench press
Did a few light sets. I probably won’t be doing much benching until the forearms feel better. It’s better to rest than to be stubborn and make things worse.
Front squat
3x6x235
Military press
3x6x165
Meh, didn’t feel as good as yesterday. At least I can OHP with minimal pain.
Nice lifting man! Sorry to hear about the wrist pain, have you tried anything like wrist or elbow wraps to see if it alleviates the pain? It sounds like it could be a bit of tendinitis.
@phelgms: Thanks man. I haven’t tried any of those. It may well be tendinitis. I’m just going to give it some time to rest by limiting my pressing and avoiding what hurts.
Week 2, Day 3
Sunday 10/2/11
Front squat
3x6x235
Military press
3x6x165
Today’s OHPing irritated my forearm a bit. I’m going to have to smart about it. Worst comes to worse I’ll just do a bunch of isolation stuff for the pressing muscles if I can’t do BB presses.
Was planning on squatting, but while starting began to feel rather unwell. Woke up a little on the sick side today and was feeling good up until squat time. fml. Time to rest so I can lift.
So I decided to take this week as a deload so I could recover from the cold/flu/whatever I had and to let my forearms/elbows rest. I’m looking forward to getting back to training on Sunday with something a bit different. Probably going to run a mock meet come a few days after my bday.
@jake_j_m: I wouldn’t call it amazing, far from it haha. But I appreciate the sentiment
@mmatt: Basically copying what ashylarryku has been doing lol.
@Getting Closer: Thanks man, I am feeling better. I can’t wait to get back to lifting.
@ink: wut trapz? I’m hoping this week or so of rest will do the trick. Feels so weird not being able to bench. LOL, iunno all this sheiko-ing you’ve been doing has been working wonders for you man.
