And I do measurements every 2 weeks, but only did a few…
small waist- same
navel: -1 inch!
Hips/butt: -2 inches…ya!![/quote]
I once read somewhere that fat loss is a weird thing…for while nothing happens then suddenly whooosh!!
Good for you…I followed your old log, silently. I’m so happy for you.

suuuuuuuuweet!! how motivating is that?!! keep it up girlie…
although i suspect your inches found their way across country and showed up on my doorstep.
next week i will be back at work and finally on my routine so i’m trying my hardest not to trip…
Thanks Skye! Yep, I’ve read about the WHOOSH effect…where the weight on your body is already lost, but until the fat cells shrink, it doesn’t register on the scale or something crazy like that! I’ve been stuck at a certain weight for a few days, and then I’ll have a drop of 2-3 pounds overnight!
Tal- what kinda plans are up your sleeve?
I got wrangled into taking a body pump class tomorrow AM…wahhhh!! I’ve never taken a class, but have been kinda curious…I’m also going to help with measurements after…It will help with exposure anyway
…Also, one lucky winner will win a free personal training session with me!
Tomorrow is the launch of body combat and there’s a 4 week challenge for the members…
I’ve also been told to try and train once a week or so with the evening crowd, to build ‘rapport.’ How do you build rapport with meat heads? :shrugs:
what is up with the site, logging me in and out, then i can’t post reply without dicking around to home page, clicking on the OP, then hitting last…
ok…sorry, had to get that out.
um, plans for next week and shortly thereafter? or plans overall? i’m still fighting this cold bug and i’m on vacation. no real traveling, just relaxing and a few day excursions here and there. i will be back on my regular eating pattern and working out. i plan on sticking with the upper body thing for a bit longer (one day of kick ass leg routine) and focus on clean eats. i did Metabolic Surge back in jan/feb and had great results. i may do that again in jan, after the holidays. in a nutshell, it’s macro rotation paired with specific style of wrkouts.
brief ex; 5 days low carb with circuit style training (still decent #s of weight) 2 nutrient isolation days followed by 5 days lo fat and strength based training. that is one cycle, repeat 3 times followed by 10 days rest. there is a PN diet included with the program. i lost like 8 lbs of fat not following the eating plan. i did close to it but wasn’t dedicated enough to follow it to a T…about 1400 kCals…arrrgh…

IMO, I would drop the ‘meat head’ label (even if it is only in your head) and consider them to be folks that are focused and committed to building muscle. Assuming, of course, that these are serious trainers.
It is like any other networking situation except it is in the gym. Things may not click the first time but eventually you will get to know the regulars of that time slot and relationships will build. Show up, train hard, don’t offer unsolicited advice, only engage if they are open to it (you’ll know). Some will be folks that you wouldn’t want a relationship with whether you met them in the gym or not. There are gems and turds in every crowd. Easiest way to engage is to ask smart questions.
But, if they are wanna be MMAers shadow boxing after their bench sets…well, you know what to do.
Oh, and pics of this ass you were referring to please. Oh, wait…not SAMA…nevermind.
Hey GD- thanks for stopping by…side shot view of my toosh can be found on page 4 I think? Thanks
I’ve only gone to the gym a couple times during the evening, and it’s just guys walking around talking on the cells, or making googley eyes with the girls on the treadmills…
guys making googly eyes at girls and vice versa…puke!
Metabolic Surge by Nick Nilsson. i will PM you hopefully this afternoon when i have some more time. here is a link to the site…some great resources and other ebooks. the exercises with pictures and videos are great, especially for noobs. but some pretty advanced training techniques, IMO.

Oh…that sucks. Perhaps the better term is douchebags not meatheads
Thanks…but I’m not done YET!! I DO feel a million times better…and looking forward to what the future brings!
It’s not a good place to be in, when you just feel ‘STUCK.’ I felt trapped in this body that wasn’t mine…I hope to be an inspiration to women(and men?) who have been in the same scenario!
carbs hate me too! It’s not worth it to me anymore, to even have just a little every once in awhile…I don’t know what I ate yesterday(assuming it was the apple pie=gluten) but I woke at about 330, feeling like I was going into labor! not cool.
Let’s see yesterday I had:
1/2 cup corn chex
1 small banana
3 gluten free sausage links
1 cup lentil soup
tortilla chips
Hamburger stoup!(potatos, carrots, onions, etc) very yummy!
Corn bread *blush
And then 1 slice of apple pie
Not everything all at once though
So I did that bodypump class this morning…not my thang, but maybe for variety on occasion…very high rep, 1 hr full body workout…probably depleted all the glycogen from yesterday
Now I need to figure out what to eat, without my tummy acting up…
My biceps are killing me! Maybe I’m on to something here…lots of high rep work to get the arms to grow? hmmm I’m probably having a (DUH!) moment, sorry…
Got an orientation this morning, and then it’s FOOTBALL TIME!!
