feeling for you MIM - don’t know how I would handle it.
MIM, sorry to hear about the hubby. Hopefully someone will volunteer.
Awwww mama! I’m feeling for you too. Just remember, stay strong, you’ll get through it.
Really sorry to hear about him leaving, but hopefully things will work out.
We’ll get through it! no other choice really…
The sucky thing is, is that even if someone does volunteer, that saves him from this round, but his name will remain at the top of the list…new billets come out frequently…
In my mind, its not a matter of IF he goes, but when…UNLESS!! He his saved from this time, and the next list doesn’t come out, until DEC
You have to have more than a years time left in order to go I think…
It may be selfish but Im clinging to every little glimmer of hope there is right now…

Its funny how the fat has been displaced after I had my last kiddo…When I was in the 170s a few years ago before baby #2, I remember comfortably wearing a size 8…and a Girls(teens?) size 9
Now, Im still fitting into my 10s, then again, I haven’t tried a pair of jeans on in awhile!
And again thank you to everyone for your kind words!
Whoa!
good for you!
Thanks!
I also wanted to mention that I did not count one single piece of food…ok, I lied…I tracked food the first two days to get an idea of what I was eating…it was about 1700-1800 cals, just in case anyone is interested…
protein+fat=MAGIC! ![]()
Learning an important lesson here…you don’t have to starve yourself(speaking to myself about the RFL) to get results!
I didn’t feel deprived at all, and the truth is, I don’t really miss carbs!
WOOHOO
Well Done young lady…
That is awesome!!! Great job mama.
I, on the other hand, have been going in the opposite direction. I either gained a few pounds thanks to my bad diet these last two weeks, or my boobie pills are making retain some serious water. Still not sure…But my jeans are freaking TIGHT!
Thanks Damo, my lurking friend ![]()
Masch- rut roh…thats not good! Do you really think you overate a surplus of cals to gain? Its not like you just sit on your arse all day!
I say ditch the boobie pills…small things come in great packages anyway, right? ![]()
well…here’s my problem, i eat 4 days around or below maintenance (M-thurs), which is good for me, since with the working out it keeps me good and trim. But then with my cheat day, which turns into cheat days (weekends), I go into serious surplus! and I mean, edging towards 3k (YIKES!!!). So yeah…this needs to be put under control.
Lol, true true - I have two more months of boobie pills. If i dont see any results then i’m off.
Ditto.
Week-to-week fluctuations come and go, but I wouldn’t mess with your own hormones.
MIM, that is fabulous! I’m actually less excited about the pounds lost/inches lost and more excited about you having reached these goals without the wacky starvation diet. Sustainable eating together with weight loss is the holy grail, isn’t it?
yep, guess it was no secret Kim!
I’ve known all along that carbs are not my friend(<—intolerant)…
And Im most proud of reaching my goals over all this time, by being able to say that I didnt meticulously count everything, every single day…I wasnt tied to a computer keeping track of every single thing…
…it was more a matter of listening to those hunger cues, making smart food choices/combos…just getting REAL with myself…
I hope to be a good example to anyone out there struggling…I did my share, but Im proof that if you stick to it, not matter WHAT, you will get RESULTS! ![]()
YAY!
Off to the gym then its picture time!
daaayyyuuuum, girl! whoo hoooo! i’m so happy for you. you are on my inspiration cutting list! ![]()
i’m concerned i need to drop below the 1800 i’ve been around. pretty slow progress for me… ;/
masch-have you considered you might be gaining some muscle now that you are doing bigger, heavier lifts? my ass is leaner, but bigger, as are my thighs. i have gained some muscle since oct. which is great, but until i cut, it’s not so great.
Thanks Tal!! What if you just DON’T count cals? ![]()
