schools are closed…therefore the gym daycare is closed too…GRRRRR!!!

I could always dust off the bow flex for times like these! Have any of you ever used one? It’s weird!

Never used a Bowflex, which kind do you have? I’m sure it would be the same as using the cable get up at the gym?

not really the same…
I find that you dont really get a full range of motion…and the rods are inflated…I can rep out bench presses with 140+ lbs!

New month=new eating plan

Carb cycling!!

Low Starch Day
5 meals a day:
40 g of protein per meal
healthy fat (flax, olive oil, fish oil caps, small avocado)
low starch veggies

6th meal post workout:
40g protein
20-40g carbs
no fat

High Starch Day
6 meals a day:
40g of protein per meal
20-40g of carbs every single meal
fats as low as possible

3 days low, 1 day HIGH

I think that plan will allow me to still keep my strength up, and hopefully cut some more fat off…

Starting weight is 181(for the record I got down to 179 last Friday! ) :slight_smile:

I feel that to find out what truly works for your own, individual body you have to become anal. Just go in with the mentality that your body is like a science experiment. It isn’t about control or about being obsessive or anything silly like that. It is about learning how to truly listen to your body and find out how it responds and adjusts to the food you are giving it. You cannot possibly learn that if you are not anally consistent.

I’ll keep it simple soon enough!!!

you are both gorgeous:) good luck on the new diet - my tip to sticking with it is finding some fats you really enjoy. I think we can all come up with a good list of fab proteins and carbs but for me it was trickier with fats. Avocado oil, olive oil, cheese if you aren’t cutting milk products, nuts and nut butters…salmon and other oily fishes and fish oil concentrates… there are a tone more. Ie heard of pumpkin seed oil, flax oil ect… anywho enough blabbing.

Today was very tolerable! Carbs beget carbs for me…but as long as there is a limit, I can behave :wink:

accept I had olives

not very creative, I know…

I love ground turkey and cabbage. Was a staple for me last summer. I recommend cooking the meat with adobo for flavor. (It’s just garlic salt with some other spices. Found in the “ethnic” section of your grocery store.)

I hope for your sake the gym day care opens soon. At home workouts can be good, but after a couple days I’d be missing the heavy weights.

Masch- what are you eating habits like now? Obviously whatever you are doing is working! But I can understand the need for structure…why not just keep it simple?

Protein with each meal, veggie/fruit and a dose of good fats…Carbs in the morning and pre/pwo…Voila! :slight_smile:
