Anything's Possible

It was pretty comical to see all the people on the treadmills running…like little fat hamsters working off there turkey dinners!

Incline db bench-
1x12x40 2x10x45 1x8x50

Single arm db press
4x10x30

Facepulls-
4x10x50

1 arm row
2x10x50 1x8x60

Skullcrushers
4x10x50lb

Jogg/walk for 20 min

Nice rowing and pressing! You’re getting seriously strong there.

Thanks! I’ll get that pull up soon enough!

I wish I felt as confident with my lower body strength though! Which is weird, cause usually thats what females tend to favor…

Maybe it’s from all my time spent hauling paint buckets around in the Navy

Eh, I know what you mean. When I started training I was always good at leg press and the like, but these days I struggle with squats (which is my fault as I never persevered with them when I was younger). I can bench more than I can squat.

50 lbs - I’m impressed - I was struggling with 35 lbs tonight. Can’t imagine 50 yet.

Skye- NEITHER! :stuck_out_tongue:

For now, I just want to focus on getting stronger(and hotter :stuck_out_tongue: )

I would, however, like to promote a strongman comp…

Hill sprints, ya. …you got good hills around you?

[/quote]

I got hills

20 hill sprints…now, that’s a whole other story!

Your lifts and diet are coming along fabulously.

If it ain’t broke…

Nice rowing, I struggled with 40lbs. Keep up the good work.

awesome numbers! You really are kicking ass. You are my hero with the diet diligence…I’ll join ya in 10 days:)

MIM you always make me sigh (in the admiration way) with those DBs. AWESOME! i didn’t make it to the gym to see all the hamsters since i ended up working 12 hours…what a sight that always is.

and if you start doing hill sprints, i’ll really be jealous b/c i CAN’T! (heel spur)

we want to see you get a strongWOman comp too!

Awww shux, thanks!

To be honest, I’ve been on a diet break since the 19th I think? And the thought of going back on that pitiful diet makes me want to run far away! But it’s only for a short while…I’ve come this far and it’s important for me to go all the way. Back on the diet T minus 2 days…

Food sure has been good though! My pants are still fitting so Im not too worried about the scale :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

T- don’t worry about me doing hill sprints…unless I did em on the treadmill…there aren’t any sprint worthy hills around here!

Skye- you are right…if it ain’t broke, haha…I hope thats true in the long run…thats why this diet is only meant to be done in chunks of time, cause it’s THAT sucky(at least to me) But the results are almost instant, which is what keeps me going.

I’ve done the moderate approach with slooow results, and it was just pissing me off…fat loss takes time, blah blah blah…but when you are 200+ lbs with 35% bf struggling to lose a lb a MONTH you don’t want to hear that shit, LOL!! There’s life to be lived beyond trying to get less fat…so this way, the job gets done…

Keeping the pounds off will always be a battle, but at least I will be fighting it at a healthy weight.

keeping the fight healthy is the trick with sticking to it in the long run.
Cheers

Thanks N!

Last day for high volume stuff…back to tb workouts next week…booo…or maybe an upper/lower split…havent decided.

Squat
1x15xbar 1x12x85 1x10x115 1x5x135 Then a bunch of 1x2x135 trying to figure out feet/hand/bar placement

All the while, Steve(the PL’er) was working his way up to a 455 squat right next to me…I felt insignificant!LOL!

Leg press-
4x10x230

Reverse Lunge
4x10x65(shoeless! :D)

RDL-
4x10x155(also shoeless haha)

umm, was that it? no

Glute bridges-squeeeeeze at the top, oh ya, felt gooood!
3x12x80

Ab crunch thing, holding the plate straight up…cant remember for the life of me what its called
3x10x45lb plate

Woke up with sore obliques…trying to figure out why…now I think it was the 1 arm db presses from yesterday!!

Biking-level 10- trying to keep the RPM in the 60s- 20 minutes

Streeeetching…
done.

Now time to eat!

Those squats are definitely looking lower. Nice job! BTW, your gym is just so…yellow. Quite aggressively yellow, in fact.

I also love the shoeless, but have never tried shoeless lunges.

MIM- I hear you. Long term, slow and steady is much better. Great job on the squats. I need to start going shoe-less on squats. I’ve been doing it on DLs but kind of shy in the squat rack.
I agree with Kimba, your gym is really yellow…lol.

A small request/rant!

…if I suck tell me I suck and how I can get less sucky…I’d love more feedback on my vids, in other words…otherwise why post em? I know your reading out there!
Thanks

/rant

Skye- thanks about the squats…I just feel, so, sloppy?
Maybe I’ll start posting in Meats thread again!

Kimba–ya, it was haze gray for the longest time…reminded me of being on a ship again! I had no say in the color scheme…

Haha! Seriously yellow!

In all honesty, your form is great. You sit back so your knee joints are solid to assist the movement, meaning they don’t BECOME the movement. The bar is placed on a lower part of you back, not resting on your shoulders. You could try to keep your chest up higher to negate any type of fold, but I don’t really see that happening …just to prevent it from possibly happening (I do it sometimes, so it is pretty common). Maybe a little lower, but you have 100% better form than any single other person I see in my chain gym. Seriously:)

What is the highest weight you have worked with so far?

chartreuse?? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

MIM-i hear ya on the diet issue…i’ve been doing slow and steady forEVER. i’m still gonna wait til jan or feb to go balls to the wall (or my version of it) and i hear you on the feedback on your video. i’m in no position to comment, so that’s why i’ve only said you looked pretty good to me. i didn’t hear too much feedback on my video, i figured maybe i sucked so bad people had it in their hearts to be nice…(thanx deja and kimba-i know you commented)

Shauna, i read you mentioned about taking a look at peeps videos…feel free to check mine out. at that post (a couple pages back in my journal) that was only the 5th time in the rack for me. i’m aware of the lean, and i’m not sure how my horribly tight hip problem is affecting me. and i need flat shoes…yep!

I think slow and steady fat loss is cool if you have the patience for it, and you aren’t clinically considered ‘OBESE,’ AAAAND you are a certified personal trainer who was overweight wanting to help others but couldn’t cause, um, I was overweight…

I had 50+ pounds to lose and was sick of it being attached to my body, despite trying to be deligent, etc…but I’ve also learned a lot along the way, so its all good!!

I DID my first neutral grip pull up at the park!!! Granted it was a jump n pull, but I always hit that sticking point where you either go the rest of the way up or you just hang there, but I pulled myself UP!!!

Shauna- Thanks a million!! I already feel like my back is arched a ton, but when I see the vid, it doesn’t look like it…hmm…I’ve worked up to 185x3 at the beginning of summer but I don’t think they were even at paralell…

At the end of the year I’d like to reppin with 225

For fun here is a 165, from MAY…

T- I really thought your squats looked great!! Considering the amount of time you’ve been doing em! I think the struggle and form breaks once you get up in reps…the cure then would be to LOAD the bar and lower the reps! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I thought you all would get a kick out of this!!! HIL-ARIOUS!!!

Weighed in this morning at 188..(up from 184.5) so 3.5 lbs in 12 days isn't too shabby..and I can almost guarantee that it is all water..

This round will be short…til Dec 20th. My goal is to get to at least 180, which will make a 50lb loss this year!

My ‘fighting weight,’ as I’ve said before, is 165-175…but I’ll save that for later.
