Anyone Win Lottery?

same with the lottery…

This is true.
But our odds on winning the lottery are about 1 in 1,000,000,000. Our odds of winning a sports bet are 1 in 2.

Like my odds with the sports bet better.

to disagree.

Two teams play. One will win. They set a “line” to make the bet even for both sides.

Actually the line is set to match the total value of the money bet on each side. That’s why lines move, to match the action and where the money is going. The goal is to break even on money bets and just turn a profit on the “juice” earned off lost bets.

Don’t you have to beat the spread? I don’t gamble on sports, this is just what I have always heard.

Right. I meant to make the money even, not to make the actual teams even. A huge betting discrepancy for either side is Vegas’ worst nightmare.

I think the most enjoyable gambling is blackjack.

I can sit at a table for several hours and make a few bucks or stay even.

Even if you lose a few bucks, I don’t look at the time as a loss if it is a fun table with good company.

I won an Inspector Gadget poster in fourth grade on movie night.

fuck blackjack, shit’s cost me like 12 grand. lol.

I guess it’s all good though, during the same stretch of time I was up like 16g’s in online poker. Just couldn’t help but have a couple blackjack tables going to keep me busy, 4 poker tables wasn’t enough.

Hmmm lets change the subject to :What will you do, IF you won the lottery?

Oh its illegale where i live… its a “sin”… to gamble. Zzz, alot of illegle betting happens anyway.

What i would do; is somehow invest in business.
Oh and get myself supplements; unlike some people who just spend most of it on a new house which they lose, a car which they crash, and a wife. who divorces them and gets half of the cash.

Its scary, you see millionaires complaining on how “unfit they are”… how its “too hard”. God if i had a million dollars, i’d have coaches from T-Nation slapping my ass in the right direction. Beradi and his PN would be my diet. Dammit.

I’d buy an M3, a lot of bud, and pay off all of my mom’s bills and give her money.
How much are we talking here, exactly? Can I move to Cali?
I’d put some into a college fund and put the rest into the bank for buying gas and food and shit.

Bum fights.

If I won the lottery, I’d buy a sailboat and hire a bunch of T-Men to sail me to all sorts of exotic locations.

This is what I was talking about. It’s not as simple as my team beat your team.

I’d keep just enough to be comfortable, maybe a million, the rest I would donate and give away to friends and family. having that much money can ruin your life.

Not if you’re wise about it.

I do agree however, I would give each of my MANY family members a fairshare to at least be able to afford themselves a fully paid off house and then some, settle any debts, and then pay myself a non-working salary every month, while funding my own company.

Pity I don’t play the lottery.

Well she hasn’t got the money yet but she should be getting her first check soon I believe. Personally, I think she is going to blow it all on dumb shit. I’ve only met her once and she was nice but everything I’ve heard indicates that she makes poor choices. Hopefully, she’ll give some to her daughter and my cousin since they have a 2 year old.

Now if I won I’d save most of it for a house, emergencies, and early retirement. The rest I’d spend on really nice trips for my whole family and I’d probably donate a good chunk as well.

If I won I’d also first pay off all my family members debts, buy them a house, etc. Then I would retire early and have my financial adviser manage all of the remaining funds. I would continuously donate a lot of it as I saw fit.

I once worked out that the chances of winning the lottery are exactly the same whether you put money on or not.

Actually - I do know someone here in the UK that won several million as part of a small group. She ended up with a few million in her own pocket and she’s still the level headed person she ever was.

Bitch won’t let me drive her car though.

Throw that shit in a bank account with a 2% interest rate?

And she probably got something nice and sporty, huh?
