More importantly has anybody ever one a great deal of money?
The most i have won is $1104 on a game called Powerball.Apart from that nothing
15 million came to our town about a year ago.The newsagent i go to sold the ticket so my heart was beating pretty fast thinking i could be set for life because i had a ticket in that draw and i live in a small town.Checked my ticket and won $11 .I was a tad bummed
The person who won it was a mother of 4 who only got a ticket because her freinds said she should buy a ticket in the 15 million $ jackpot. She had never bought a ticket in her life. Low and behold she won.
It’s fine to do every now and then, but it’s a huge waste of money to do it on a regular basis - much better chance of gambling with something like Poker where you at least have reasonable odds of winning.

Word. I know a guy that spends at least a hundred a month on those things.
I played a few times. I once won another ticket. Another time I won 5 bucks. With my winnings I bought a tall boy, and went to the Wienerschnitzel and bought an “Angels dog” they were those fully loaded hot dogs that Weinerschnitzel was promoting when the Angels won the World Series.
I fucking LOVED those fucking hot dogs. They were of EPIC tastiness.

I think it’s somewhat of an evil concept, the idea that you can get a shit ton of money for doing nothing… if you are playing games of skill like poker that is one thing, but mindless shits like slot machines and lotto tickets are just wrong

I don’t buy tickets either, but I bet you wouldn’t be shit talking them if you randomly bought one and won the jackpot.
Hell, here in Toronto I think it’s going up to $33 million this weekend.
I might grab one just for the hell of it.
But I do agree it’s sad that some people waste tons and tons of money on tickets. Usually it’s those most desperate for money too.
I buy a ticket every now and then - if the mood takes me and I have a spare pound in my pocket. Usually about once every two or three months.
Most I’ve ever won was about £45 although a friend was in a syndicate with 3 other people and a few years ago they won £9 million or there about between them.

Is she the one who has a Carrera GT and won’t let you drive it?
I used to work in a bank as a teller, and would get quite a few cheques from people winning, however they were basically all $30 and less, with the average being about $12. The biggest one I saw was about $4000.
I worked with an older lady (60+ or so) who always said I was gambling when I was trading on the stock market, although you can control how much you loss most of the time. Funny how she brought about 3 lotto tickets/week which she had been doing for decades and had no decent wins. The sad thing is that she 100% believed she would win eventually and be able to retire rich.
I read somewhere, that about 20-30% of people expect they will win the lotto at some point and it will solve their problems. I’m all for dreaming and shit, but at least be realistic.

That’s why the lottery works so well.
How many well-off or wealthy people do you see playing it? None, because they recognise that money doesn’t come that easy - if it was a good way to make money everyone would be doing it, and getting rich.
Your odds are about 1 in 14 million for the UK lottery, I believe.

Do you know how he is doing now? I’ve heard alot of people who win the lotto end up burning it really fast. Kinda sad in a way.
