Something tells me the bust doesn’t go down right and Vic goes down for failing to fulfill his end of the deal. Shane turns himself in and keeps Mara out of it.
I have a weird feeling that Claudette lets Ronnie know Vic signed the immunity deal and Ronnie is the monkey wrench in the bust. I also think Ronnie is the only one who gets away.
Dutch dies at the hand of the lil’ dahmer. Corrine gets a pass.
Sorry OG, I don’t think Cassidy has a hand in anything.
Interesting.
But I think Shane, one way or another, dies. Or I hope so.
I don’t think Vic is going to leave Ronnie hanging, either. He might have done all that shit and said all everything, but I think he’s got one more card for that.
Dutch… ah fuck him, he’s such a bitch that whomever kills him will be doing him a favor.
And how awesome was that, hearing Vic say that he killed Terry.
Hard to believe that was seven years ago that that episode was on… I remember watching it and thinking how awesome it was.
I was also fucking 17 at the time, which is even harder to believe. Time flies man.

One last thing I think that may happen is that Claudette will kill Vic. After all the crimes he did, and after the drug bust, he will be home relaxing and she will stop by and kill him. End of show.
It could happen.
I’m glad you aren’t Shawn Ryan, because that ending fucking blows.
If I was Shawn Ryan, I’d be swimming in my pool of money right now. I know that ending sucks, but who knows what will happen.
I still think the daughter is going to play a part in things. I mean Vic’s daughter, Cassidy.
Mara is definitely going to die.
Ronnie is the wild card.

I don’t know about Cassidy, in the last few shows she was being portrayed as a good kid, good grades, etc., maybe she does have a plan in something. Since OG is hot ;), I have to get her some props in thinking Cassidy will do something in the last show.
Well, it’s alllllllll over(in the words of UFC’s mike goldberg). I thought it was sad all around, but a fitting end. Vic lost any and everything that meant something to him. He was betrayed by his wife after he betrayed his best friend.
He no longer has his kids, has a job he hates and has the death of Shane and his whole family on his shoulders.
In the final scene I don’t think he walked away to off himself. I think he just walked away period, fuck ICE and fuck life, catch me if you can.
Having a son of my own seeing Jackson on the bed like that broke my heart, I had a feeling Shane was going to off himself.
Poor loyal Ronnie, gets to be fed to the wolves. well at least Claudette is dying. As much as I hate her character, that woman can act.
Dutch and Billings are still both weenies.
Anyone catch the Julian gay flashback while they were patroling?
What was with the ICE chick and her holier than thou? Did she forget Vic saved her career and freedom?
Vic was a bastard, but Chiklis is a hell of an actor. In my eyes that is the best role anyone has ever played, hands down. This is the only series I have watched this intently for 7 seasons. I can’t wait to get seasons 3-7 on dvd so I can relive it all.
I am truly sad this series has ended, I lived for tuesday nights. Cheers to the old strike team Vic, Shane, Ronnie and my favorite Lem.
Vic didn’t leave to kill himself- he’s too gritty for that. He left to make a run for the border, and say, “Come find me.”
Shane deserved it. His wife was a supercunt who deserved it. The kid didn’t, and that was a shame, but a good twist to the end nonetheless.
It pissed me off about Ronnie, but that was definitely a nod to real life, about how things don’t work out happy, and how there’s not always an answer.
The only rival to Vic Mackie in terms of the awesomeness of characters played was Tony Soprano. Noone else made you love them and hate them so much. The only thing is that with Tony, at least you saw some of the background that made him into the creature he is- with Vic, sometimes it seemed like violence just for violence’s sake. Which is valid, because there are people like that. But that duality of personalities is tough to do, and Chiklis always managed to pull it off, especially with the love he had for Lem.
Here’s to the ultimate badass walking away with a gun and his car keys.
well… dang. It ended with Vic refusing to be caged, but I don’t know if it was showing he was just keeping a part of himself while he made a nest in cubicle city.
Ronnie, well that had to happen.
I still am not a fan of the ending.
Maybe they will have a made for TV movie.
Acevedo as Mayor being blackmailed so he asks Vic for help.
Fuck Vic. What he did to Ronnie was inexcusable. I don’t think he ran, though that’s an interesting idea.
I was really bummed out watching Vic like that though. Him around the cubicle is exactly how I feel being out of the Corps. It’s bad for your soul.
mike
EDIT: Oh yeah, I also don’t think he ran. The scene with the gun was basically him trying to hold onto his identity. It’s like when I’m bummed then reach up around my rearview mirror and grab my dogtags.
Yep… It’s all over!!! That was one damn good show. The shit with Shane, that was messed up with his wife and kid. As mentioned can’t beleive Vic sold Ronnie out, I woulda thought he’d figure someway out of getting him out of it.
Man!!! That was a good show!!! That’s all I got…
If you haven’t done so already, watch Sons of Anarchy… Another WAY good show!!!

The only reason I think he ran was because of where he placed his gun. In the beginning of the day when she told him to take it off it was holstered. When you place that gun in the small of your back it’s anti-establishment to me. You will also notice I believe he never did the report requested of him, the files left on the desk were just intel he was supposed to summarise.
If he doesn’t complete his ten page report he violates his contract and is prosecuted. I know the show is over, but can you imagine Vic being a desk jockey like that for 3 years.

To me, I wasn’t sure if he was running or not. I got the impression that he was thinking that they can keep him in a desk all day, but at night, he still runs the streets. I think he can still be a desk jockey, but he still wants to maintain that he can still run the streets.
If you think about it, I blame Claudette for the death of Shane, his wife and kids. She doesn’t give him the deal he wanted for his wife, then he finds out about Vic’s immunity, and of course he has to take matters in his own hands. Family is together, not torn apart.
I knew the kid was going to kill his mother and somehow pin it on Dutch, but no ending to that? Not sure why, I think they gave us some clues to show that we know Ditch will catch the killer.
The ending was good, Vic gets it immunity and freedom, but loses everyone that he holds dear to him. The closeup of his eyes, you could almost see the tears, but as normal Vic Mackey, he snaps out of it, swallows his pain, grabs his gun, and the next chapter begins, we just dont know what happens next. Good ending to me.

Yeah I have to take that opinion too.
And Ronnie. He always got the short end of the stick in everything when it came to the Strike Team, now he’s going to get the big end in prison. Oh the irony.
And Shane and his family. I’d much rather him getting caught and him and Mara go to jail but that suicide scene was just…brutal. And the exchange he had on the pay phone with Vic where he finds out about his immunity. Walton Goggins is a damn good actor.
I also liked the letter he wrote and how Claudette read it. The “I wish I never met you line” was deep if you think of the history of the show but at the same time I think it was Shane trying to one-up Vic emotionally in death. Shane wished he was as smart as Vic so he didn’t have to go out the way he did. Vic might have lost his family, but Shane had to kill his.
Only time I’ve watched a series from beginning to end (about to finish The Wire) and I have to say this is THE BEST show I’ve ever seen.
2 minor nitpicks though: I thought the whole Andre 3000-pastor-mayor thing was totally unnecessary. I thought the did a good job, given the context it just felt out of place. And I wish there was more closure about the serial killer kid, but from what I’ve heard it’s supposed to be a setup for a new “Dutch show.”
