I love to go out drinking but I hate the way I feel the next morning. So I don’t drink very often
I’m 17. BEERPONG IS AMAZING. I’m young and stupid. All these ARE AWESOME.
Considering those, I only drink when it’s a large group of friends at a party or somewhere worth losing the progress. Which is rare but when it happens it’s a very good time. Also, if I don’t destroy everyone in beerpong in NS who will?
I dont drink because I dont want to end up being some kind of factory worker. Every aspect of my life is geared towards that

I rarely drink. But when I do, it has to be quality liquor. I hate wine, beer, scotch, whisky… they all make me tired and give me a headache.
I like Grey Goose vodka martinis though.[/quote]
Have you had your allergies tested? This happens to me, and it’s because I’m allergic to yeast.
All I drink is Rum or Vodka as a consequence.
I haven’t drank since I tried to finish a fifth. That was a terrible morning/day, haha.
I do not like drinking. I never drink. It does not appeal me at all.
I drank often until I looked back at how many family members I lost to alcohol related conditions. With genetic predisposition to alcoholism and diabetes, I figured it was probably best to nip it in the bud.
not a huge fan, but a glass of wine is good once in a while.

Thinking about what drinking does to my body on a weekly basis makes me wish that weed was legal and alcohol was illegal…

I think this is a very interesting comment. It is unbelievable how bad alcohol is for your body, yet is a titanic industry that is truly thriving.
I don’t smoke, but I find it hard to believe that marijuana is far and away worse for you than alcohol. I guess it just serves to remind us how powerful lobbyists are and how much money matters.
Same here, I rarely drink. I drink whiskey every once in a while though, just 'cause I like the way it tastes. Whenever I go clubbing (inb4guido), I actually tend to stick to water. I don’t need alcohol to have a good time.

Smoking marijuana may be less harmful overall than drinking, but I still don’t think it is doing your body any favors, especially if you are concerned with things like optimal hormonal balance, post-training protein synthesis, and body composition. Plus, I don’t see how inhaling the smoke from ANY sort of burning plant material would be good for your respiratory system.
That said, I’m not big on government prohibitions, so I would hate to see the government criminalize everything they consider to be “bad for people’s health.” If they did, the government’s “infinite wisdom” would no doubt see them banning foods high in cholesterol or maybe even supplemental protein because of it’s mythical effects on kidneys!
I also find ironic that they have no problem raking in tax revenue from the sales of toxic products like cigarettes. “Warning: smoking these will kill you, but please do so anyway - we really depend on the taxes you paid when you bought this pack.”
I don’t like alcohol much but I do like being drunk! I almost never drink anymore however. Maybe once a year.
I love the drink! Haha, it’s terrible. It takes a concious effort to limit myself.
Done drinking for awhile as of this weekend…keep pissing people (lady friends) off it’s pretty dumb.
First obstacle is going to be the super bowl tonight…
As recently as a couple of months ago I was a pretty big drnker, relatively speaking. It’s never taken me more than 4-5 beers to get drunk, but I’d drink that 4-5 about 3 nights a week. Add that up over the last few years and you get a recipe for not improving as fast as you should. The last month or so I’ve really toned it down and guess what? Pr’s every week [on ws4sb].
Last night I had a few beers with some buddys watching the fight and realized on number 3 that I didn’t even know why I was drinking 'cause I wasn’t really enjoying it [the alcohol, not the good time] so I put it down and didn’t finish. I will say that throughout my drinking days there were nights I’d go out and drink water and have just as good a time, until everyone got drunk to the point of irritating then I’d bounce.
I like drinking in the right situations. Basically that means at someone’s place so there is a 0% chance I have to drive anywhere. Plus that guarantees Im mostly amongst friends, and not a bunch of chumps. Not to mention bars/clubs are kind of weak in my opinion. Most are too loud, play obnoxious/garbage music, and there are just way too many tool boxes with ILS standing around in shirts that would fit a fourth grader…
I feel like a drink is just something to have in my hand at a party… I think I’m just going to start drinking Jack & CokeZeros but hold the Jack…
I could put down a fifth every day for a month, and the funny thing is I have… Drinking has changed for me, I don’t lose all my inhibitions, the hangovers are worse and now its starting to have consequences…
If I drink its going to be a full bottle of red wine or 5 or 6 shots straight of white rum, plus when I start to drink I don’t stop and eat until the bottle is gone…
Also, once in a while I get a wild hair up my ass and get drunk every night for a week straight.
I dont like to drink. I might drink once a month and simply so I can play beer pong haha
The part that sucks about not drinking is when people project things onto you about your choice not to drink.
I simply dont enjoy it so I dont do it. A very hard concept for some people to understand.
Used to drink but not anymore. Got parents and parents in-laws that are alcoholics. I’ve seen that nothing good can come from it and plenty of bad. I don’t really like the taste of beer.
To the OP: sounds like you are around some younger, less mature people like I am all night at work. The dumbass that sits across from me at work, drinks like a fish, lives for the weekend when he can get wasted. What’s funny is the guy just got his second DUI and still doesn’t get it. When he told me about the DUI, it wasn’t his fault because the cops tricked him or set him up. I forget what his story was.
Christ i miss drinking. a glass of whiskey and a dark ale really sound amazing to me right now…my roommate, who hardly ever drinks, brought home some really thick, hearty, wonderful-smelling dark stout today and it was so hard to pass up a sip…the worst part is, i don’t have any REAL reason to quit! never got me in trouble, never cost me a job or a girl or a friend (although their drinking has cost them MY frienship), and i don’t get real emotional/stupid when i drink. and i know when to stop; yeah, i’m the lucky bastard who can have one glass and decide that’s all i need.
its kinda like a test for me, i suppose. i do wanna lift more, and i do hate having a hangover then going to the gym, so its kinda nice not to have to think about that. but drinking really is a way of life for me, as pathetic as that sounds to the Drys in the room. it is to me what pot is to a stoner or what weigh-lifting is to 99.99% of us who visit this website and spend more money per month on supplements than we do on our girlfriends (i’m sure that’d be true if i had a girlfriend…) BUT, i also wanna see my abs. so, whereas the last two years were a drunk-fest, this year will be a Heatlh-fest. so far, so good…i guess
