Anyone Else Find Paul Waggener Disturbing?

Which is precisely why I asked you. You’re a foreigner and Americans like me expect you to know these foreigner things.

Okay I had it in my head you were Scottish for some reason. You people all look alike to me.

Yogi. Yogi is Scottish. But he is MIA or on a secret mission of some sort.

You cracked the case @bigjeff68. That’s how I made the connection that foreigners on this board are likely Scottish. Yogi is to blame here.

I knew I wasn’t dumb. I just don’t remember things very well and often find myself confused.

Yogi was really kidnapped by Paul Waggener and sacrificed on the alter of Satan.

My sources on Reddit say that Wendler was in attendance wearing High Priest garb during that particular black sacrament.

To make things worse, they ate Viking cake for dessert.

Mathias is looking over your shoulder. He might throw a spear.

Aren’t the Amish already as strong as fuck from doing farmwork?

So I googled Paul Waggener and I only clicked on one link but I’m already sold. We dwellers of Appalachian bioregions know the importance of Appalachian bioregion values and occult traditions, whether they be southern or northern in flavor.

We also know what’s metal as fuck when we see it, and this guy fits the bill.

About the author (2016)

Paul Waggener is a musician and writer residing in the Appalachian bioregion of the southern United States. He has been a devoted practitioner of the occult sciences for more than 20 years, since carving his first runes at the age of 10. Mr. Waggener has held the title of Master in the Galdragildi, a “black school” dedicated to the darker aspects of Germanic magical practice, for the past 4 years. Paul’s work is considered to be highly influential in the field of Germanic magic and his life’s work is an ongoing manifestation of an ancient primordial system.

I know you weren’t asking me, but I spent half of my life in Amish country. I don’t know any Amish very well on a personal level, but I can assure you that most Amish people are hard as fuck and very good neighbors. That doesn’t mean violent or even good at handling violence, just that they are bigger hard-asses than you or I, and extremely polite. I’ve never seen a jacked Amish guy, but I’ve also never seen an able-bodied Amish guy who looked fat, weak or generally unfit. They are just a batch of rugged dudes who put in lots of hard work and live their convictions.

I don’t get why people are being so dismissive of this. Paul Waggener is a leader of the Wolves of Vinland, a white supremacist group linked to violence against blacks and anti-semitism. Now, I am not accusing Jim of being a white supremacist but, what is the point of publishing that guys article in which he basically states 5/3/1 worked for him because he’s busy. Who cares? All this does is give the guy and his “movement” exposure. Seems irresponsible given all the youth Wendler trains.

I think people are being dismissive with Waggener and his band of weirdos because they are pretty much a bunch of dungeons and dragons geeks who lift weights and blame their lack of success in life on minorities.

As far as Wendler, maybe he didn’t look at what he did as deeply as you. Who knows besides him? Did you ask him?

A few reasons…

I had never heard of them. Maybe they are violent white supremacists, but they seem to be first and foremost LARPers who are really into metal and make-believe.

I have heard of Jim Wendler. I own three of his books and applied his principles to good effect. Nothing I’ve read of his in print or online is in any way hateful or racist. He’s obviously into the metal scene, and so are people with wacky and even hateful beliefs. Maybe he’s best buddies with this Waggener guy and they kill chickens together on the weekends while talking about how bad black people are. If he is, none of that seems to make it into the work he puts out, which has helped many people of all races and creeds because he puts out a good product that is completely apolitical. It’s just about lifting weights.

Wikipedia says the SPLC calls the Wolves of Vinland a hate group. That doesn’t really carry much weight with me since the SPLC would probably determine that my mother and the other retired gals she chats with at the pool everyday are linked to a hate group. If you’re to the right of Che Guevara, you are linked to a hate group by the SPLC’s logic.

Even if we weren’t, as you suggest, too dismissive of this, what do you think should be done?

I doubt it because like I said the article is about a guy using/liking his system because he is busy. There are many thorough reviews none published on his site. If I wrote the article it would not be published because, who am I? In my opinion Wendler obviously knows who the guy, his affiliations and for whatever reason felt it was worthy of exposure.

Wendler has also dodged the question before stating how he has many friends, business acquaintances, etc, who share different political views …

Chris Duffin has also been “exposed” for his affiliation with the same group.

My 2c is that almost every human who’s ever existed will disagree with me on some things. I would probably find some of the things they believe to be disgusting and disgraceful and something I will challenge if I see it necassary. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t respect them or interact with them on other issues or I’d find myself in a very small world indeed.

Wouldn’t that depend on the issue?

Not particularly, no.

And depending on which page you read, they are all guilty of Toxic Masculinity!

Oh my word! Big meanies that lift weights and are toxically masculine!

And Gay! (wait, when did that become something one can use to disparage another person again?)

I’m not saying you’re wrong at all. I have no idea. But what should be done? Don’t buy his books? Don’t use his advice on the numerous free articles on this website? I don’t know Jim personally at all.

I abhor racism and white supremacists. I’m guessing everyone who has posted in this thread does as well. I’m just not sure what if anything you think should be done about this possible connection? Like twojar said it’s lifting weights man. The fitness industry is littered with people who have great advice that are shitty people.

You’re 100% right. But I also know how the internet loves completely unsubstantiated and false rumors. Once started they’re impossible to stop and even attempting to rebut directly usually just leads to more angst from people who would never believe you anyways.

So basically I don’t care. I personally find it more likely Jim didn’t know about the associations
