they are really comfortable and you can strap it on so it doesnt move around at all really. [/quote]

This one looks really good. It’s $229 and the Xvest is $159 if I buy it this weekend. I do like the sound of the flex weights with the ironwear vest though. Hmmm…

yeah the flex weights are nice. they’re comfortable.

just make sure that whatever you get is comfortable and that you can tighten it up enough so that it doesnt move all around

This is where I bought mine…I use it Every single day and have absolutely no issues with it at all.

I use burpees often as a conditioning tool. Great for metabolic work at the end of a workout. I have added dumbbells but haven’t used a weightvest. high rep or tabata style with or without a push up, jump, or pull ups.

I’ve got the cheap ($100 at sports authority, bought from a friend used for half that) Pro Power 40 lb vest, and I have to say it sucks hard. Iron bar weights, and the strap might as well not be there it’s so loose. But it’s better than nothing when my firefighter friends aren’t there to lend me their V-max or x vest.

Yeah i had the one from Dick’s Sporting goods, and That thing started tearing literally after he 2nd workout…took it back without the box or receipt and they credited my account. Good business but bad weight vests…

Dicks is good about that stuff. I returned a speed bag and something else with no receipt. No problem.

I finally pulled the trigger and made the purchase. I went with the V-Max short vest 40LB. The IronWear vest was really nice but the cheapest I could find it was $229. I got V-Max for $142 on sale at EliteFTS.

My only concern is if it will bother my lower back. With the full length vests I didn’t like the idea of my breathing being impacted.

I’ll post again once it arrives and I have a chance to use it.

Thanks to everyone for your input.

I just finished my first workout with the vest. 15 sets of 10 burpees with 40LB vest. What a difference it makes. I was gasping for air and my legs were burning. I love this thing. I’m not sure exactly how to setup the straps as they were designed. I was able to strap it on tight though and workout without it moving around. I’ll have to play around with it some and figure out the correct way to wear it.

It arrived Friday - 11 days after I ordered so good job by EliteFTS as usual.

rouge fitness has good vests that we use at our unit…burpees with a vest add a little more suck factor
