I have about every model and caliber they have released in the last 20 years.

Yeah, itās definitely much more comfy compared to 43. Iāve switched to mine from G43x, 0 regrets.
Update on the sig P365XL:
I love it, but when competing against my friends at the range, they put me to shame. And then one of them will let me borrow their full size gun and Iāll shoot down the bowling pins (or whatever the target is) on the first try. One bullet, one pin.
So this little sig itās great for conceal carrying because itās compact enough to hide. But in social competitive situations it makes me have to work so much harder than everyone else!
This also got me thinking about defensive situations. I donāt want to be inaccurate when someone is breaking into the house. It would suck to mess up my plants or scare the dogs with multiple shots that donāt connect to the ātargetā.
So Iām pretty sure Iām going to need a full size gun for this purpose, @Chris_Shugart. Anyone else agree or have recommendations?
Generally a full size gun is going to have a longer sight radius (only applicable to irons), have a more full grip, and have more weight.
Are you using an optic on your 365? If so, the sight radius thing isnāt much of a factor.
The increased weight of a full size gun helps a bit with follow up shots, and the extra inch or so of barrel should technically increase accuracy potential, but most of these short barrels are mechanically more accurate than the person operating it anyway.
That leaves the full size grip, which IMO makes a huge difference. Unless you have the worldās smallest hands, youre probably able to get a better grip on the gun, and you probably have better trigger control as a result.
I know for me I can shoot my full size and compact guns much better than my Hellcat and itās 100% due to the tiny grip altering how I interact with the trigger.
Yeah this will almost always be the case. My full-size of choice is the Beretta M9. This might be a basic b$%^ch weapon to some of the aficionados on the board, but nothing Iāve ever felt feels as smooth and as comfortable. And I shoot it much better than my P365XL; theyāre just made for different things. The M9 is too big to carry around inside your belt. But Iāll shoot against anybody in competition with it.
Im a big fan of the CZ P10F. Sights are solid, and fits my hand nicely. Theyāve also got the P10C if the full frame is a little too large.
I like a lot of different guns, but I prefer pistols without manual safetys and decockers and all that stuff.
Something like a spectre 320 if you want to stay with sig or a P226 Legion.
One of my favorite guns lately is the CZ Shadow 2.
Depends if you want an all metal gun or polymer. I find the heft of an all metal gun helps accuracy. I also shoot far better with a flat trigger.
Those gold details!!! ![]()
After a weekend of shopping around, I came home with a Sig 320 x5 Legion. But not sure if Iām totally sold on it. One of the salesmen was so stoked about it that I mightāve been influenced by his enthusiasm. I plan to hit the range sometime today to play with it.
Itās pretty! But its magazines only hold 10 rounds, and if you want a higher capacity, then the magazines will poke out of the bottom which kinda looks silly (not that that matters).
Iām still trying to figure out what I like. But I need to be more aware of the material theyāre made of. Guns are confusing and I feel like whenever I learn something new, ten other questions pop up.
Iāll definitely look into this if I end up returning my Sig Legion. Thank you!
This clarifies a lot thank you! I donāt have an optic on my 365 but have been thinking about adding one. Youāre right about the grip and weight being a huge factor. I have kinda big hands (tall girl) so having something broader to hold onto just feels right.
If my budget would allow Iād have one in orange. So nice.
The gun is so smooth. Mine is blue and Iāve been warding myself away from buying the orange. My local gun shop has one in orange ![]()
